INTRODUCE YOURSELF (not your book)
Hey everyone! I'm James, author of the Click Your Poison series. I look forward to interacting with all of you here :)
Hello! Coming in to introduce myself...I love fantasy, mystery and historical fiction, but I read a little of everything. I study historical swordsmanship, sew...I adore travel and photography as well. I'm also an author, but I'll save that for the Author's corner.
Ceri, a little bit of all three, really! I practice a lot...which means I get lots of awesome exercise, and I go to medieval events through the SCA to fight in tournaments, wear awesome clothes from the past (I also sew) and hang out with friends...and I read and research because I love the idea of marshal truth...what would really have worked? So I read "period" manuals and translations to help my understanding. I also teach it (not for pay) at the college I work at, which is also fun because, well, playing with swords!

Hi!I'm Jim Vuksic.
I have an eclectic taste when it comes to reading; so almost any genre, fiction or non-fiction, will hold my attention, if it is well-written and interesting.
I am retired; however, with four adult children, four grandchildren, and a fairly active social life, I do not read nearly as often as I would like; but I try.
Hello, all! I'm Rachel. Don't you find Goodreads as addictive as books? Love it! So grateful for this site! I'm an independent editor; editing has always been my default modus operandi, and I'm Canadian (don't hold that against me!) and when the moment strikes, poetry finds its way into my tweets. I love all kinds of books, but have been a fan of romance and chick lit of late. I tutor English on the side (actually, at the end of my kitchen table), and I sometimes help out international students with their English at the local college. At Christmastime, you might find me busily crafting, or other times of the year, making a video. Please drop me a line! :) Cheers!

Hello All: I love fiction that considers ideas worth contemplating, and especially if there's a bit of humor. Authors like Vonnugut, Palahniuk, Alexie. I teach creative writing at a tribal college, and have written six novels. I look forward to discussions here.

Any friend of Kurt Vonnugut is a friend of mine.
Hi, Im Adam. I like to read novels, as well as some fantasy and sci-fi to rest my mind. I like to challenge myself, and tend to gravitate towards dark literature, and tragic endings.

If you like Fantasy, maybe you should try
definitely loaded with tragedy and seems sort of sci-fi to me too because there's a lot of time travel in it.
Welcome Adam,A guy whose interests include hanging out with his family and drinking beer has got to be okay.
Interesting. I don't know that I intend to, or if it's even sad necessarily. I like to be left with a lot to think about.

Good morning! My name is Cliff Roberts, and I'm honored to be part of this great group. I have written several books and have been fortunate enough to sell enough of them to be considered a bestseller. I tend to write thrillers, but I have been known to bounce into other genres. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Christopher and All, Happy Holidays and let me introduce myself to this group! I am Louise Malbon-Reddix and afterloosing my husband 4 years ago now,and not knowing how in the world I wa going to get through that time felt compelled to write a book, which helped me and gave me some direction; and to help others to go through their own grief. And, to do that on their own terms. I found that those canned answers like Everything is going to be alright, and you will feel better soon, just didn't cut it for me. I didn't know what I needed, so I started out along this journey and discovered just what I said above, everyone has to do this on their own terms. We are not all the same and their is no blanket solution for this. And during this Holiday time, loosing a loved one can and is tough to go through. I feel like I can help others in that not only have I lost my husband, but several other family members as well. I have prsonal experience as you can see and professional experience as well. Check me out, I am here on Good Reads and so want to be able to help as many as I possibly can to come through what can be a very tough time in life and that on their own terms. Again, Happy Holidays and I hope to connect with you soon! Louise
Hello Everyone, I'm Redwhale. I look forward to meeting as many people as I can and discussing amazing books. I'm new to Goodreads and self-publishing. I love reading, writing, and being a human being. :)
Hi All, I'm John and as is my way sometimes, I've already written this message in the wrong section once. Looking forward to getting stuck into some topics and championing my love of flawed hero, heavy on the drama thrillers. Jack Higgins is still the top of the tree for me.
Hi, my name is Beatriz, am new to this site. I love a challenge so made a point this year to read more. Favorite genre is Travel, Memoirs, Comedy and anything that makes me feel good and learn about world cultures.
Hello group! My name is MJ and I'm a writer in the super hero/ adventure genre. That's also what I like to read, but I'm not limited to that. I like horror, thrillers, fantasy, urban and books with strong female leads.
Hi everyone,I've been a member for a little while, but haven't had the opportunity to drop in and do anything in the group yet.
I'm Xavier Edwards, an Erotica and ER author from Australia. I self-published my first short story in May 2012, and have been publishing a variety of short stories and novellas since then across a number of the erotica sub-genres.
I'm currently working towards the longer story formats and am looking forward to seeing many of you around the group.
Thanks,
Xavier
Hi Everyone! I'm a former member who left GR for a while after I didn't want my name and reputation to be associated with what was happening to some of my author friends on GR (not this group- the website). Thankfully I believe all that is in the past and so I have decided to come back, where hopefully my book reviews will mean something once more. Great to be here! Can't wait to share some of the awesome books and authors I have been honored to showcase on my blog with you and meet some new ones.

My favorite authors are Danielle Steel, Nicholas Sparks, Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling.

Hey guys,I'm Sean. New to the group, obviously. I'm an aspiring writer, who wants to tackle the enormous task of bringing diversity to YA literature. My contribution will be a drop in the bucket, but I hope it's a drop that will make people take notice.
HiI’m Terry Ravenscroft and I write humorous books.
In 1978, on the day I threw in my mundane factory job to become a television comedy scriptwriter, I was involved in a car accident which left me unable to turn my head. Since then I have never looked back.
Before they took me away I wrote scripts for Les Dawson, The Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Alas Smith and Jones, Not the Nine O’Clock News, Ken Dodd, Roy Hudd, and several others. I also wrote the award-winning BBC radio series Star Terk Two. When I stopped writing comedy scripts in 1995 I took to writing books. Up to now I have finished 15. (Although I can’t say if my readers have.)
Born in New Mills, Derbyshire, England in 1938, I still live there with my wife Delma and my mistress Divine Bottom (in my dreams).
My mother had a particularly long and difficult delivery, largely because she’d forgotten to take her tights off. I was an ugly baby, so ugly in fact that the midwife held me up and slapped me even though I was already crying. My parents decided to share equally the responsibility of bringing me up. However I proved to be a difficult baby, often throwing tantrums and crying for long spells, especially when it was my father's day for breast feeding me.
My family was so poor they couldn’t afford to buy me any clothes and I spent the first four years of my life naked, and unable to go out. Then they bought me a hat so I could look out of the window. Despite my deprived existence I prospered and at the age of five started my formal education.
I was a bright child at school as my mother had painted my head with luminous paint so she could pick me out easily when she came to collect me. A clever if highly strung boy I passed the eleven-plus at the age of nine, passed three GCEs at the age of eleven, and passed water in bed until the age of fourteen. Due to the latter, plus a south-facing window and the central heating being on all the time, there was usually a rainbow in my bedroom and this gave me an early interest in meteorology. To find out more about the subject I went to the local library and asked if they had a book on it but unfortunately the librarian thought I said ‘metallurgy’ and consequently I spent the next two years wondering what extracting metals from their ores had to do with the weather.
My education completed - in the girls toilet with the town bicycle - I began my first job when I took out articles at the law firm of Beckett and Hargreaves. The articles in question were a silver paper knife, a gold pen and the cash box from Becket and Hargreaves' safe. When I appeared in court the judge said, “I suppose you think that was funny?” I didn’t, but as the judge seemed to think it was I thought I’d take up writing humour for a living.
Hi my name is Elizabeth Wixley. I'm an author of romantic horror, fantasy adventure and the paranormal. I love reading and have enjoyed all genres. In my youth I chose what to read through word of mouth and friends recommendations. This system worked well and through others I've read books that have influenced various parts of my life. I believe that the pen really is mightier than the sword.
Hello. My name is Lily. Well it's a nickname... I guess I love fiction. Fantasy is cool too. I'm not a huge fan of horror and romance novels tho. I do enjoy sci-fi tho.
Hi there, my name is John and I'm into the Detective/mystery/thriller genre of books. In fact anything that gets you thinking about what will be happening next and who dunnit. However, having written a couple of books of my own, and interactions with fellow indie authors, my eyes have been opened to other genres, horror, romance (with a bit of ass kicking to keep me hooked) to name a couple, there are some absolute gems out there on the lower shelves.
Hi, my name's Jola and I love to read, especially fantasy, mystery and horror books but I'm open to every genre :)
Hi everyone! I'm Ruchi, 14, and from India:) I love to read books!! Guess that's obvious....:P:P And am so excited to be a part of this group!!

I am an artist and illustrator who started writing Dark Fantasy fiction for fun!"
Hello and welcome, Isis! I agree with the above, your work is pretty awesome! Do you just do it for fun or is it a career path for you? I really liked the covers (I'm assuming you did the cover art) you have linked on your profile!
