Ayeiska Started the first book and it seemed okay but I'm wondering if the rest of the series is worth the read.

Kate I read up to book 4 I think and they were good but after book I just seemed to loose interest but I honestly can't say why the air just went out completely. But that has also happened with the Anita Blake Series I read up to book 6 started book 7 and just thought it was rubbish. Christina Henry with her Black wings also was good but then I also stopped reading after book 4.

Stephen I've got one more to read before I've read them all. To me it's frustrating because Jane seems like a smart woman, but she keeps falling for the same stuff from Leo over and over again. It was like she was intentionally dropping a few IQ points with each book. That's what is closing me out of this series. I'd like to see more of the Native American history, and the fact that Jane is MUCH older than we know. There is so much that could be developed with the character, but all that seems to fall by the side of the road as she gets roped into the standard "Leo has a problem and tricks Jane into handling it" formula.

Cher Ditto what John said! Love this series, it seems to me that it's getting darker as the series goes along. I do prefer a longer series than producing quick results in say, four books.

Tell ya what Ayeisa...borrow the latest release "Blood Trade" from the library and give it a try...if the series is for you, you will end that book wanting to read the ones that came before. I'm a total fan of this series because the main character does a LOT of growing through making mistakes....I like her strong character.

Michelle I was starting to lose interest at book 4 myself but read the latest release and am in love again! Who knows where this is going to go? I can't wait for the next release! :-)

So no regrets?

Michielle Death's Rival was my favorite. That would be #5.

Liz I've read all 6 books in the series, and I recommend to keep going. It gets much better as the series continues. Can't wait till #7! Definitely worth the read.

Michielle Don't forget the anthos. Cat Tales (Jane Yellowrock, #3.5) by Faith Hunter Have Stakes, Will Travel (Jane Yellowrock, #4.5) by Faith Hunter

Liz I'll check them out! Reviews on the anthos looked good. Thanks Michielle.

No problem. =) I read them after Raven Cursed. The stories will then answer several unanswered questions. The time line of the anthos start from after Jane merges with beast up until the ride back from Asheville after Raven's Curse. And each book has a timeline of where each story is chronologically.

Karin For me, this is one of those series that got better as it progressed. I cannot remember at which book I became a dedicated fan, possibly the middle of the series. This also occurred for me with two other series; Kate Daniels and Edge by Ilona Andrews. I lost interest and stopped reading both of those and came back to them later. However, I loved them both when I got farther into the series, especially the Kate Daniels series. Skinwalker is one of those series that gets better as it progresses! Faith Hunter is now on my top 10 favorite UF authors.

Randy Kobelt Have read them all so far. After reading some comments would have to say Yes Jane is smart and it is not so much she falls into doing what Leo wants, as it she follows a strict code of self honor. Yes I think more of the Native American culture or history should be in it, with more self discovery on her part. Maybe she has more powers as it where that she has not discovered. Some tribes took on different animals as there main animal. Some say they are able to see dead spirits. Some say there main form corresponds to the spirit or god that watches over them most.
