Janice (JG) So, Miss Matty is our heroine. All the silliness that has gone before has somehow, gracefully, evolved into a very real and personal moment of heroics.

I loved the fact that she becomes heroic in her situation, yet retains her childlike innocence that makes her herself. Her kind heart reaps benefits - Martha wants to take care of her at her own expense, her friends want to help anonymously so as not to embarrass her. This chapter was very heartwarming.

Also I couldn't help thinking of the recent bank/financial issues here in the U.S. So many here were put in terrible positions by this.

The true friends, in the good and the bad. That lady who can barely mantain herself but give more than she could to help Matty. That.was really touching.
And hey! I finally know the name of the unknown narrator :)
