◊Personality◊➺ Edmond is as sweet as he is sly; he knows his way around a being's persona and will intentionally, either skip over the edgy nerves or make truth of bringing the worst out of someone. He strives to bring out the beauty he claims to see within the soul that lies before his eyes. When speaking, his physical gestures grow grander as the intensity presses on, making his oral communication seem much more intriguing than the potential value. Albeit he inclines toward pushing away any heartfelt conversations, his heart remains loose from the reins that bind him to love; given that the boy has never granted himself the right of passage, onwards across that cursed bridge. Basking life as it reveals itself to Edmond, there is null darkness he deliberately sets for himself, nor will he allow for it to foreshadow the uncharted upcoming. Taking in consideration that his female sibling as well as himself were broken branches, grafted onto a different family tree, it is arduous for a certainty to form between himself and the being implying the overexposed privilege. It is told, that being as obstinate as Ed, beholds, not only assets, but dreadful disfavors as well. Call it what you will, despite the sporadic generosity seeming to sprout from the man, disputations or simple arguments will spark a black flame. Reaching that climax, the flame will form a burning abyss; alas, resulting in unintentional (or intentional) physical reactions toward another. Disregard the perverse, Edmond is rather cozy within his own shoes. His smile is contagious and always seems impeccable in terms of cleanliness.

Do not be fooled, for Edmond hides his deepest, most treacherous secrets deep within the sleeves of his mind. His outer shell emits what others would like to see in him, but most of it is far from the actuality. Deep down, Edmond is heinous; he takes joy in manipulating others to his will and inserting them in his pocket – in case of future needs. He convinces himself that remorse is nothing but an excuse to feel pain. He's stealthy, also known by his few, loyal, peers, as the master of disguise. Edmond can enter any place and his looks altogether are quite fitting, given in any situation. His charisma is nearly infallible and no doubt, will he use it to his advantage to obtain anything that is needed. The man is one of the top branches in the secrecy of his city's own system. In better terms, it is safe to fear the man because the differences between the truth and the lies are nor truth, nor lies – but an illusion fabricated from other illusions based off of his deep-seeded knowledge.

Edmond really doesn't play himself off as someone who's ready to settle down and have a wife and children and whatnot – but he is. There isn't one fiber in his body that would or will admit that he is out for true love – he believes it is out there; just, that it isn't for him. But Ed's always been a selfish man and if salvation is what is needed in order to find this love, he'd do it in a heartbeat. Along with all of his flaws and possible qualities, Edmond is fiercely protective of those whom he loves; he would – without missing a heartbeat – throw himself in front of anything or anyone to protect those whom he cares for. Of course, he's always had a difficult time expressing himself when it comes to the actual emotions. Playing the part is easy, but feeling the chemical is a chance not many people feel nowadays. In all, he's a good man, placed in the wrong place, at the wrong time and doesn't exactly care about his origins and believes in only adding power to his own city; and what better way to do that than to destroy the humongous walls that outskirt a city and leave no place for mercy for the population in it?

There is absolutely no denying that Hope is small, being a mere 155cm; she, surprisingly, doesn’t despise it, and, overall, it makes her appearance even more feminine and fragile, which is just the way that she likes it. She prefers to be underestimated, because then she always has the element of surprise on her side. However, that’s not to say that Hope’s appearance is surprising by any means. She is beautiful, sure, but her looks are typical of her family’s , what with her pale blue eyes, wavy, reddish-brown hair, bow-shaped lips, and soft, striking features. Her figure is more on the willowy side, as opposed to curvaceous, but her movements are fluid and careful, even despite her clumsiness.

Personality: Having been born after several miscarriages and failed attempts at pregnancy, Hope and her twin sister were brought into the world as treasures, and have been treated that way ever since. Spoiled with absolutely everything they could ever wish for, showered with attention, and born with an immediate best friend, they were born with everything one could ever want. Hope developed an interest in sports and athletics when she was just six years old, after seeing a tennis match on the television. Ever since then, she has been obsessed with jogging, swimming, tennis, hockey… you name it. She absolutely adores the energy and adrenaline that courses through your veins when exercising, so much so, in fact, that she has to remind herself to eat, so as not to lose too much weight.

Growing up, Hope was always the centre of attention, as much as she tried not to be. This was primarily because of their father’s role in the city, and also because many mothers were practically frothing at the mouth at the thought of their son being paired with one of the governor’s twins. As a result, she is quite hard to please, given that she was always given gifts on Valentine’s day, for her birthday, etc. It takes a lot more than a bouquet of roses to sweep her off of her feet. That isn’t to say that she isn’t a true romantic at heart, though – in fact, she is quite the opposite. Having been told stories of opening that letter and being told who your soul mate is from a young age, she has dreamed about that day for a long, long time. Nothing sounds more perfect to her than meeting her prince for the first time and discussing wedding details, feeling comfortable with the faith that they would never do anything to hurt you. She has heard tales of the old times, when adultery and infidelity was actually legal, and the thought of such crudeness and disrespect for one’s body is enough to send a shiver up her spine. She is quite stubborn regarding these opinions, having inherited them from her father, and thus is old-fashioned in her beliefs. She attends church almost every Sunday, and, although not overly, in-your-face religious, does believe that there is some kind of superior being that will make everything okay – this also means that she is very optimistic (sometimes annoyingly so), has her head in the clouds, and is a big believer in fate, karma, and soul mates.

Contrary to popular belief, the attention she received hasn’t gone to her head. In fact, she relishes moments when people don’t recognise her (although these are few and far between, given that she’s often with her sister, and being twins with red hair isn’t exactly something that slips by someone easily). Because most people do, though, because of the city’s policy regarding immigrants and emigrants, Hope is usually found either alone, or with her sister, must preferring her own company to other people’s. This resulted in her love of sculpting and pottery; she is actually quite talented with her hands, and has created multiple ornaments, which are scattered about her bedroom. She is quite an inclusive girl, and, at times, has been described as a loner.

When it comes to etiquette and manners, Hope is clued up on all things appropriate. When attending formal events and dinners, she can, in fact, come across as somewhat wooden and bland. It is only when she is completely comfortable and not in the presence of her parents when her sarcastic, fun-loving side is unleashed; it’s secretly what she has always hoped for in her husband. A person that she can be completely comfortable around, that doesn’t judge her because of her background or surroundings, and who is able to accept her for who she is – and, if there’s a bit of witty banter thrown in there, then so be it.

Hope is heart-wrenchingly loyal, and, when protecting someone that she loves, she feels a sense of pride and accomplishment, as though she is doing something that is right and important.

Other: She hasn’t ever done anything rebellious in her entire life. Nothing worth noting, at least. She is the ultimate stickler for the rules, and, although she doesn’t force other people to abide by them, she feels uneasy and intensely uncomfortable around those that have done something wrong.
Hope was paired with Victor Snider just last week; naturally, she was over the moon, but, unfortunately, meeting him in person was not everything she expected it to be. Time didn’t stop, her heart didn’t stop beating (nor did it, in fact, speed up), and there was no moment where she could easily imagine spending the rest of her life with this man. Consequently, she has been a little down-hearted over the past few days (although has worked hard at keeping up appearances), and is searching for something – or someone – to cheer her up.

◊Personality◊➺ Delia isn't the exact opposite of her twin but the two do hold strong differences in terms of likes and traits. For starters, there isn't anything that scares Delia, she's out-going and will do just about anything that will get her heart racing and her fingers buzzing – aside from stealing. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the girl is an adrenaline junkie but sitting at home and reading is not an option for the twin. Her element is found outside rather than indoors. For the redhead, there's nothing worth being inside aside from sleeping in her bed she's grown to love just as much a she hates. One part because it's simply comfortable but it's where all of the wasted hours go. That's right, Delia is a strong believer in never wasting one second of your life because, after all, you do only live once; better make an impact while you're heart is beating, yes? Her strong love for nature walks furthermore proves her inability to simply stare at a wall and turn her thumbs in circles, pondering the existence of humanity. No. Aside from her burning red hair, Delia's voice is the reason people notice her. Perhaps she's inherited it from her father, having a powerful voice; not for singing, but for speaking to large crowds. Anything regarding oral speaking and/or convincing large sums of people, Delia's able to do just that. She does know what an indoor voice is and she does use it at appropriate time but, Delia is, without a doubt, the leader type.

According to Delia, having a twin has nothing but advantages; of course, the two don't look alike enough to pass off as each other but from behind, if you put the two inches of height difference between the two – you'd never guess who was who unless you knew how the other wore their hair. Delia always has some sort of braid inserted in her red mane. Be it french braids, a crown, a simple braid or just a small braid to keep the hair out of her face, she's always wearing one. There are the odd days where she doesn't have one but those days usually include having her hair in a bun or a ponytail. Disregard her need to always be physically moving, there does come a time when she will take a seat, but only if the beautiful instrument lies ahead of her. The piano. Aside from her actual voice, this is Delia's way to express her truest feelings. The strongest ones. Usually regarding sadness or anger, feelings that latch onto her, monkeys on her back, if you will.

Along with her fearlessness and knack for music, Delia is a girl with a big heart. She sees others for who they are; it is true when they say that eyes are the windows to the soul. Of course, it is easy to cover those windows with blinds but once they are closed, she'll be the one, waiting until they open again. She's fiercely loyal and only devotes herself to things or people if she truly believes they are special; like Ardal. She had met his brother before she had met the boy, and she truly did think that Joshua was everything anybody could ever want; until she met Ardal. Sure, he wasn't as smart, didn't seem as talented or wasn't deemed good enough; it was clear that he was living in his brothers silhouette. It was probably that realisation that was Delia's first step into loving the man of her dreams. After that, Joshua was long forgotten and Ardal was the keeper of her dreams – and heart. It didn't take much and that's why she loves so much. She strives to make him happy and by doing so, she is making herself happier and it gives her all the more reason to believe that an arranged marriage isn't needed to find love.

Ardal is 5’11”, and, to be blunt, broad. Lifting weights and running have quickly become the two things in life that are strictly his, which he doesn’t have to share with his brother, and so, as a result, he’s developed a strong, v-shaped athletic figure. His eyes a pale blue, and sometimes appear grey, with crinkles at the edges when he smiles. His hair is really dark, sometimes black, but usually a rich, textured brown; since it is so thick, he is one of those guys that has to shave absolutely every day to prevent a beard from growing, so dark stubble can be found on his chin and jawline. He has a long, roman nose, and full lips. Although he has lived in the city for most of his life, he speaks with an Irish lilt, given his heritage.

Personality: Ardal has never been the brightest crayon in the box, and, after getting teased at school because of it, has developed a tough outer shell. He doesn’t allow much to affect him, whether that be insults, conversations, or even people. He prefers to live in his own little bubble; things are easier that way, and it prevents him from getting hurt. Because of this, he isn’t great at showing his emotions, and, if one does not know him well, may appear to be wearing the same neutral, blank expression most of the time – he is afraid of letting his true emotions show, given that he has never done that before and is terrified of what might happen if he does so; being shut down and rejected is, in fact, one of his biggest fears after opening up to someone.

His practiced detachedness, as you can imagine, means he has a pretty gnarly temper; it only takes one second for his attitude to completely change, so fast that it gives people whiplash. Over the past few years, mostly because of him growing angry at being so restricted and closed in, he has been charged with vandalism and disturbing the peace, stunts which would have landed him in prison if it hadn’t been for his mother’s pull with the governor, since they are close friends. As such, he managed to get off lightly, with a few fines. Unfortunately, his temper and hot-headedness have resulted in him gaining a reputation of being mean-spirited, although this is not the case. Other people keep their distance, giving him his space, afraid of what he might do to them, although, in reality, he wouldn’t do anything. Not unless provoked, at least.

In fact, he’s the antithesis of mean-spirited, and never sets out to start a fight. He’s actually really friendly and sweet, a side of him which precious few people see, because they are either too afraid to get close, or, if they are brave enough, he doesn’t let them in. Even when he does open up, he’s still reserved, and much prefers to just sit in a comfortable silence than fill it with mindless chatter. He also prefers to be doing something, all the time, than just waiting around – he is naturally impatient, and sometimes grows uneasy in intellectual conversations because he simply cannot keep up.

It is partly due to this that he is a massive disappointment to basically everyone. Because of his brother’s success both academically and socially, great things were always expected of him, but he never seemed to live up to expectations; in fact, it became a somewhat habit of his to break out of these preconceived opinions that everybody seemed to have of him. And so he became known as “the other brother”, always living in the older sibling’s shadow. Frankly, he’s stopped trying now, and accepted his fate, which is that he will always blend into the background when his brother is concerned, or at least be known for the wrong reasons. He has made plenty of poor decisions in his life, including kissing a girl in high school, and the activities that resulted in his criminal record; in the eyes of the law, he will never be more than a troublemaker.

Little do they know that there’s plenty more where that came from. When he met {your girl}, everything seemed a lot brighter, almost as if he was living in black and white and the world changed to technicolour. She is now the light of his life, and he cannot imagine what his life would be like without her; she brings out the best in him. Of course, if anybody ever found out about their relationship, that they were breaking the law and had sex before marriage, he would be done for. This only makes him want her more, though, and he still clings to the hope that one day he will be paired with her.

Ardal was born in Cork, Ireland, and grew up in a pretty house beside the river, along with his parents and older brother. He learned to fish, played cricket in the fields on the outskirts of town, and even had a pet kestrel, named Falco. He was taught to treasure nature, to embrace it, and accept that it was better to be outside, fully experiencing life, than be stuck inside. Unfortunately, this all changed when little Ardal was just four years old, and his father cheated on his mother. That was when his mother made the decision to move to North America, toward the movement which hadn’t yet reached Europe.

Aoife basically paid every penny she had in order to get herself and her little sons into the city, given the strict policies and guards which guarded the entrances both day and night. After being betrayed in the worst possible way, however, she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure it never happened to her sons and to create a better life for herself. Ardal hasn’t seen or heard from his father since, nor does anybody mention his name; every time he has tried to bring it up, his mother closes up like a clam, and all he gains is her not speaking to him for a few hours. She has since been paired, and leads a happy life with her new partner.

Ardal barely remembers Ireland. In fact, all he can really recall is the feeling of the warm sun on his face, and being totally free, with expanses of land stretching out before him. He could no longer maintain the hobbies he enjoyed so much, except for running. He runs because it reminds him of feeling free, of being able to do whatever the hell he wants, with no limits, no restrictions, no boundaries – even if it’s just for an hour or two. Having that freedom snatched away from him at such a young age, through no choice of his own, makes him long for it more. He has always never been completely able to accept that a greying man in an office will decide his future for him, but it wasn’t until he met {your girl} that he became firmly against the movement. And he’s not going back now.

Other: Ardal is both claustrophobic and dyslexic, meaning that his life has never necessarily been easy for him. He seeks solace in the gym, where he works as a trainer.

So it took me FOREVER to get to sleep last night, so I was laid in bed thinking about our Abnormal Farts roleplay - do you think the couple should live together? I was picturing them having been together for years, and being best friends before that; that way, she might actually be tempted by the wolf because it's new and exciting.
Also, any preferences regarding what she should be like? I always find strong women more interesting, but then you really liked Hope, soooooo.... ;)
I'm making my guys complete opposites, hehehehehehe.

oh the alphabet fuck? yep, those all sound good to me~ you can make her have a strong persona - they're easier to roleplay with most of the time. And it'll be more interesting, i think anyway.

EVERYTHING. It's the end of the year one, so EVERYTHING this year (they aren't marked internally). But today it was the equilibrium constant and calculations and stuff, which is easy :D

when I go back its all complex ions and bidentate ligands and its really, truly rubbish, so I'm doing all the easy stuff now so I don't have to worry about it later.
I actually really like chem, though :)

i've never been a big fan of chemistry, myself, to be honest..i'm more of a biology person ^^
but i really love languages the most, haha.

So I realised I'd left my computer on anyway and had to get up :'(
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A-LEVELS ARE!? Then again, I don't know anything about Canadian education, so I can't really blame you ;D
I only know what they are when compared to American education, so you do A-levels from 16 - 18 (if you want), and they're harder than APs, so you just pick 4 for the first year, and then drop one for the second. That's why I only do those 3 subjects :)
I'd like to hear about how you guys do it sometime, though :')
