Sarah Ryan | 3 comments Hey guys!
I have a couple questions about the popular book The Fault in Our Stars.
•is it appropriate for pre-teens?
•what is the importance of the main character?
•book conflict?

Thanks for everyone's help and feel free to continue to discuss the book in this thread.
Thanks!

1. I'd say 8th grade at the least, 7th might be stretching it
2. The main character (Hazel Grace Lancaster) is a really strong character with cancer and she narrates the book so you get her opinion. There are a lot of metaphors surrounding her existence :)
3. There is both internal and external conflict. Internal: Hazel dealing with her cancer and death while she falls in love (well not to make it sound cheesy or anything). External conflict: I'd ruin the book if I told you :)

Hope this helps!!!
