1. I'd say 8th grade at the least, 7th might be stretching it
2. The main character (Hazel Grace Lancaster) is a really strong character with cancer and she narrates the book so you get her opinion. There are a lot of metaphors surrounding her existence :)
3. There is both internal and external conflict. Internal: Hazel dealing with her cancer and death while she falls in love (well not to make it sound cheesy or anything). External conflict: I'd ruin the book if I told you :)
