I was bored and scrolling through discussions and pretty much everyone talking about this book said they really disliked Sydney in books 1&2. I thought she was an amazing character, and although sometimes I yell at her (like at the end of TGL), but all in all, I loved her and the whole Sydrian thing.

Valkyrie_of_Valhalla omg i agree. Sydney seems really... REAL, you know?
like, sometimes female characters in romance books are too perfect. Personally, if u have read Clockwork Angel, i think Tessa came accross as very perfect, mannerly and innocent. Since Bloodlines is set in modern times, i think Sydney's character is refreshing.

S.L.J. I liked Sydney the moment she showed up in Blood Promise. She was the complete polar opposite to Rose and I thought her attitude towards vampires was funny.

Thank you S.L.J. and Aki! As soon as Sydney comes in you get the feeling that she is going to be a big character. And if she's going to be a big character you know she's going to have to get over the anti-vampire beliefs. Even if you didn't know that in Blood Promise you had to have figured it out when you were told that Bloodlines was in her perspective. And come on everyone knew she had to end up with Adrian. It was so inevitable.

I couldn't stand her until TGL.

S.L.J. I also like that Sydney has a hell of alot more on her plate than Rose did but she's still handling it and going strong. :D

.·:*¨ × Shannon♥Stelena&Bamon&Sydrian × ¨*: I've always liked Sydney since Blood Promise, I never found her boring whatsoever like others have said.

i know what u mean; Rose was battling a dangerous romance, but it was as easy as pie compared to the hatred between vamps/damphirs and alchemists that Sydney had to/will have to battle through to get Adrian

Megan Yates I actually really liked her and I'm glad she gave her, her own series :)

Sarah Sydney is innocent, beautiful and funny as hell. Her attitude is no bullshit. I love her and her romantic tension with Adrian is always entertaining. She uses her Brain and common sense to get things done. Read The Indigo Spell and you can see how strong and wise this girl is!

KellAYE i've always liked Sydney and her POV, but once i started to read bloodlines i really started appreciating her. she's not perfect and she's constantly questioning herself and her choices and we read her internal struggles. she's really grown over the course of this series.

Sidrah I'm not a big fan of sydney, just because she's not a very strong character. I still prefer Rose over Sydney.

bhaveesha I don't think Sydney is boring. When she first appeared in blood promise the way she acted around the vampires was really funny. And she did help out Rose a lot. The difference now is that in bloodlines she opens up more and we get to learn really awesome things about her like the fact that she has magic in her blood and you can't really blame her for having such a strict upbringing

Sandy Sydney was my favorite in Vampire Academy so I was really excited when Bloodlines came out. I empathize with her taking care of everyone and being the responsible one. I too am an oldest child lol.

Anna I liked Sydney from the beggining, when she met Rose and after that when we got to know her a little bit better. I thought it was funny how she reacted around vampires. I really liked that she kind of overcame her fear of vampires and helped Rose. She actually did help Rose a lot. She wasn't among my favorite characters of Vampire Academy, but I liked her. I didn't think she was boring, I thought she was very smart. But after reading Bloodlines, I grew to really like Sydney. I think she's really brave and smart, and I really like the fact that she's always the one taking all the responsibilities.

Sara Shaw I liked Sydney, not as much as Rose though.Because Sydney is responsible and reasonable, different from Rose. But still i like her.

KellAYE I like both rose and Sydney and I think it's hard to compare them. They're so different. But both are equally great.

Laura Yes! I've been asking myself this question for so long. I loved Sydney ever since she was introduced in Blood Promise and I can't wait for the rest of the series to unfold*___*

DarknessIsUponUs I really like Sydney, but seriously why the name SYDNEY? I live in Australia so I hear it pretty much every day!

Sydney's a pretty common name. I live in Brisbane and I have like, three friends who have that name.

CB-13's Book Blog!!! I live in sydney, Australia and i don't really like her name either. but as for her character i never disliked her, but in book 1 she had big shoes to feel, i mean after 6 amazing books from rose's POV. but i started to really like her in the second book But i still don't no if i like sydney or rose better.

Sayra I liked her form the beginning shes a cool car interested chick .

April I really loved Sydney's character from the first page of Bloodlines. I was actually interested in her when I was reading Blood Promise. I thought she was in interesting character and I'm actually re-reading Bloodlines so that I can continue reading the series. I loved her character mostly because I could relate to her (other than the magic and things) because I found her more of a relatable character than Rose, for me personally, but I did absolutely LOVE Rose's character also!! But yes I just loved Sydney's character throughout the entire book. :)

Jasreen I really liked Sydney from the very start even in the vampire academy books. I love how she is so smart and how she gets along with the vampires
the girl is awesome

Sayra I prefer Sydney she's cool and less serious an rosé was just annoying how she wept over Dimtri ! And Sydney is perfect for Adrian
