What do you think the "devastating loss" will be in The Elite?

Hmm... Officer woodwork and Marlee? Lucy? America? Oh my god what if it's Marlee's boyfriend who came to try and win her heart like Aspen only maybe less jerky. or maybe it's her brother to try and ask for money for their father (father an alcoholic? why marlee didn't want to go home?) I think it's something to do with Marlee

What if her reason for staying is in the palace, but not the Prince - I think its a love interest. She doesn't seem like she is secretive because she's a rebel, she was excited to meet the Prince in the beginning and had a serious crush on him. It was after she had the date that she said there was no "spark". Does she have a thing for a soldier, this Officer Woodwork?

Haha, you sound like me. I'm jumping all over the place. I definitely don't think it will be the King or Queen either (now), she doesn't know them well enough to question. I think she will be questioning motives or actions from someone she knows, who I don't know.
I say its Marlee in the Palace with the Guard lol. That's all I got.
Catharina wrote: "Macy wrote: "I bet something will come back with the soldier I don't know but whenever I read a book and a main character bumps into someone they come back later somehow I don't know that's my gues..."ik why would she waste a page or so when it could be used for something else
In reviews I've read from people who got ARC's (lucky!!!) (view spoiler). I don't think it's the king because in the reviews, everyone hated him.

Oh my gosh! Just read the spoiler! Woah, I kind of was expecting that... Lucky people who got an ARC!

Alexia wrote: "-- omg if that spoiler is true i jus hope Marlee still gets her chance at love ."Same! It explains her weird behaviour, doesn't it? I just hope it will warn America. What if *SPOILER* loosing Marlee is the devastating loss?

      Maybe it's within America's family

I hope it is that I mean that's horrible but then no body dies at least and that means if America is caught she wont die only Aspen probably and that would be by Maxon's hand I bet lol but the only one allowed to die is Aspen
"the only one allowed to die is Aspen" LOL HARSH! but its OK he's just a fictional character! and I TOTALLY AGREE.

so i read the book (it came out early for some reason at the chapters- which is a popular canadian book store- near me)SO if you guessed the devastating loss had something to do with Marlee....
then you were absolutely correct but its not that she just got sent home if thats what your thinking.... its something much more dramatic
