Fun show and whiteboard! Thank you.I was intrigued by Veronica's choice of words. She said "season" finale rather than "series" finale. Did anyone else catch that? Or are my ears full of wax?

We do hope to find a way to bring the video show back, it's just gonna take a little time!

*sniffle* This made me all sentimental. I've said enough how sad I am the show is ending (for now) so I shan't say it again. For now, I'll just express my gratitude to Geek and Sundry and everyone involved for getting this awesome show out there and bringing it to my attention. I'd never have found it from podcast alone, and it's been a fun year. I will, of course, continue to listen to the podcasts and hang around the forum....I will also say how sad I am that Aaron got burned at the end of the whiteboard. I really wanted to see Lem in a Princess Leia costume. :(
Tom wrote: "Correct. This season is over. The series will hopefully continue, just not on Geek and Sundry."Ah, this is music to my ears... :)
And Aaron, you are a genius. That last whiteboard was magnificent.
Thanks Tom and Veronica for the video show which introduced me to a lot of books I would never have dreamed of reading. Thanks Aaron for your wonderful whiteboards. You guys are awesome and I will miss the show till it returns.

I knew you guys were "hoping" to find a way to bring it back in time. But I guess I thought the "hope" was based more in the abstract but your positive sentiments makes the "hope" feel as if it's anchored more in the realm of possibility. And this makes me happy, like walking through the woods with sunshine on your back kind of happy.
Thanks again for such a fun show.
Discovering the show on Geek & Sundry and reading The Magicians nearly a year ago with S&L is what pulled me back into sci-fi and fantasy. I hope S&L will continue on in video format, but for now I'll be happy to get my fix here at Goodreads and via the podcast.
Is there any Amazon money afoot? I heard you once say Amazon wasn't paying attention to S&L. Given the news, are you sure? Also, consider that you perhaps don't have to be as produced as you were on G&S. Imagine one camera angle with one host in a space jumpsuit sitting in a Victorian chair and the other host in a Victorian outfit sitting in a spacecraft-cockpit style bucket seat. It'd still be pretty fun to watch.
Is it lame that I got excited when Tom read out one of my posts? Because I got excited when Tom read out one of my posts.

Sad now. Well, I've subscribed to a podcast for the first time, so there's that! Here's a Haiku I wrote for you, three minutes ago.Sword and Laser gone
At least on YouTube for now
Please come back my friends!
I'm so sad to hear that your video broadcasts are over. Thank you and Veronica and the whole crew for making such an enjoyable show. Please do consider doing another video broadcast series. Fandom craves this stuff!
I'm sad that the video show is over, but I will still listen faithfully to the audio podcast. I'm rather disappointed in Geek and Sundry that they're not continuing with the S&L video show. I owe every bit of my geekiness to the fact that I grew up reading sci-fi and fantasy, and I would venture to say that many geeks of my generation would say the same. I would think that Geek and Sundry would want to honor that legacy toward which so many of us are sentimental. Does that make sense? Anyway, I enjoyed the video show immensely. It has helped me a lot through a pretty tough time.

That whiteboard was a dang decent ending.I would think that any publishing company would be happy to sponsor this show. Heck, Amazon should do it now that they've bough Goodreads, what with all you guys have done to promote ebooks.
Well, to paraphrase Charles Osgood, I'll see you on the podcast.
Thank you for the videos. I'm looking forward to watching the next season whenever and wherever it starts.Aaron, great whiteboard.
Tamahome wrote: "What about Becca in a Princess Leia outfit?"You saw what Lem did to poor Aaron, singed him to bits before he had the chance to consider that.
I was happy to have my post read, but sad that it was on the last show. I will still support Geek and Sundry, and hope to help Sword and Laser come back to video in any way I can. Maybe we can have a book reading pledge drive. Who will donate one dollar to the S&L video fund for every book I read?

I did this also, though I tried to repress it, which I think ended up making me sound a little like a terrified piglet. Or maybe a piglet with hiccups. Definitely baby pig sounds.

Ok. At least I'm not the only one. :)
Is there anyone in this group who wouldn't contribute to a kickstarter for more seasons? I know I would :)
This was a good show which I will miss but I think the audio show will always have my largest amount of love...if only there was a way to do Aaron's whiteboards on audio...I assume the author guides will continue? They are really awesome...Glad to hear you both liked Downbelow Station in the end as it is one of my all time fav's....my number for my existing collection is 14981.25...gulp

Becca is already in a Leia outfit. See the hairbuns?
Wait, what do you mean "mickey ears?"
First of all, this was an awesome season of video goodness, so thank you for that! The Whiteboard videos were amazing. I was a little surprised when Tom and Veronica revealed their numbers on books in their libraries. I thought it would be much, much bigger. Maybe I just spent too much time rating books?
I look forward to lots more audio shows!
I love you S&L for getting me back into SF and now into fantasy. I found you because of the videos, but am just as happy with the podcast and forums alone for now. One thing I noticed on this last episode was the calendar. When I started watching/listening that part was like white noise to me. I had no idea who any of these authors were. But this time, in just under a year, I recognized more than half the names and had even read a few of them (mostly due to S&L's picks, of course). So thank you for the edumacation! I look forward to continuing my studies...Oh, and Aaron, we're subscribing to your youtube channel. Keep up the whitebords!

FWIW, I've been tracking the episodes of Sword and Laser and posting links to all the books/authors that get mentioned in any particular episode. You can find this week's recap here (Thanks for All the Fish! Downbelow Station Wrap-Up & Your Feedback- S&L Ep. 33, Season Finale)
I watched the episode last night and was taken aback by how sad I was when it was over. I hope you find a way to continue the show that doesn't involve one of you having to live at airports. Thanks for the podcast and show. I love hearing you both talk about books, and I really enjoy this community you have built.
Sword and Laser was one of my favorite Geek & Sundry shows. I don't know the details behind the decision to end it but it seems like a bad idea. It was my favorite thing to put on while cooking my dinner or folding my laundry (sorry, this was supposed to be a compliment). Seriously though, Sword and Laser inspired me to actively seek out new and old sci-fi and fantasy after a long hiatus from reading the genres. I will continue to look forward to the podcast. Thanks for your hard work guys.

So long and thanks for all the fish!
