That's a lot of work to just buy a firebolt and wow I must admire your imagination I could never think of that. lol

I think it sounds most suitable.

So thats all good!
BUT mcgonagall (and other teachers etc etc) wanted to know who sent harry the firebolt.
Surely they would just go to the shop "Quality Quddith Supplies" and any other shops that sold firebolts get a list of all the people who ordered one. they would see one was ordered by ... it would either say harry potter, a cat, or sirius black. so if it said sirus then bobs your uncle but if it said harry or a cat then they would check who paid for it especially if it was a cat! and bob's your uncle
THEY ARE SO DUMB!
sorry for this long post :p

thats right, he gave crookshanks a mail order with the gold from his gringots account

I'm just going to go over here and not talk anymore...."
Hysterical. I'm sure that's what happened

yep

Correct. In POA Sirius tells Harry that he wrote down the order, using his Gringotts vault number and Harry's name and address. Then he had Crookshanks deliver it.

I'm just going to go over here and not talk anymore...."
hehe

"Crookshanks took the order to the Owl Office for me. I used your name, but told them to take the gold from my own Gringotts vault."
