Anyway, so when I met Cynthia Hand, she asked if I was Team Tucker or Team Christian, and I said that I always leaned toward Tucker but wasn't really sure in this book. However, I was so mad when I thought that they were going to solve the triangle by killing Tucker that if I weren't reading on my kindle, I would have thrown it. So when she signed my book she wrote "I'm glad you didn't end up throwing the book" lol! I really liked Tucker and Christian, so I think no matter what, the ending would have been bittersweet. I really wish that the glimpse into the future had had Christian there with all of them cool, but I guess you can't have everything. (hide spoiler)]

DeAnna (view spoiler)[I was more in disbelief and read right through that part without breathing. If I would have stopped, I may have thrown my Nook across the room. ;-D. I was in such disbelief that Tucker got killed off that my brain wouldn't quite absorb it! And then, phew, all was right again! You're right, either choice was tough so it really didn't matter at the end who got the girl. I think after all is said and done, I like how they let Tucker "win".

I think having Christian missing from the dinner table at the end was more realistic. If he were there, it would have been just a little too perfect!

And I LOVE your Cynthia Hand story!!! That's an incredible personal inscription that you will treasure forever! (hide spoiler)]

what a great ending to a really good series. I wish there was a 4th book. This is my favourite angel book series to date for sure.

Okay, I'm now 65% in (view spoiler)[ OMG, I knew there was something up with Lucy! You can't tell a mortal that you're part angel and have them acting all normal! Huge red flag there! I'm glad we figured out the visions, but what will happen to the baby now?
OMG, that last seen with Tucker and Clara...I feel so bad for all three of them at this point! I love Tucker, but I must admit, I kind of wish Clara was over him and into Christian...they just seem better suited for each other!
I'm glad Tucker and Clara finally both admitted they still love each other, though! I have no idea how this will be resolved. I have a feeling that Jeffrey will back up his girlfriend over Clara, though! (hide spoiler)]

I finally finished it! (view spoiler)[ I was crying, almost sobbing when Tucker "died." And I was thinking in the back of my mind, this is not a good way to solve the love triangle problem! But the scene where he and Clara say good bye right before he goes to heaven...I had some peace with it. But then he survives! It made me think of Harry Potter, although not so emotional! I am glad that Tucker lived, and he got Clara, and he become somewhat of an angel!
Christian--I felt really really bad for him, though! That poor guy did everything right, but he just wouldn't give up. When he saw Clara almost give up her life for Tucker, though, he finally got it! So sad.
I did not see the whole Angela and Christian sibling thing coming! But it makes sense, they kind of hated each other like brother and sister!
The description of Hell was very well done, very creepy. I also loved the part where Clara goes back in time for a minute and visits her mom. That was one of the highlights of the book for me.
And I loved how kick butt Clara was at the very end. She thought she wasn't a fighter, but she fought to save the people she loved! Loved that! (hide spoiler)]
LOVED THIS BOOK! 5 star rating for me! It was a great ending!

OK, a more coherent response - this book was absolutely epic. So many things I loved!

I was just certain Christian was going to die somehow, protecting Clara. I was so happy when he didn't.

I do wish Christian had found someone to love, though - kind of like the ending of Reached. I've been on Team Christian the entire time. I always understood where Clara was coming from, but Christian was just wonderful. I felt like he walked away with a broken heart. Again.

Loved it when Clara went back in time and talked with her mom. Maggie was one of my most favourite characters.

I was just undone when Oziel (Auziel? Can't tell on the audio) was stabbed and shouted "forgive me!" and then was restored! Unexpected and completely wonderful story of redemption. (hide spoiler)]

I have to say, the whole depiction of hell was really good. CS Lewis depicts heaven as a place that is more vibrant than earth, taking that from I Corinthians 13:12, where Paul says that we "we see only a reflection as in a mirror," as if this reality is just a copy of the real thing. In the same way, Cynthia Hand has shown hell as a broken down version of the same.

I had to laugh when (view spoiler)[ Clara said her dad got all poetic talking about the glory sword. He was actually quoting scripture, from Hebrews 12. (hide spoiler)]

And very cool that Tucker quoted I John to Clara. If anything would have swayed me over to Team Tucker, that would have been it.

A couple of questions:

Definitely 5 stars for me. This series was fabulous.
