Max (maxv) | 11 comments This req may seem unusual, but I'm looking for books similar to story arcs in Game of Thrones for Arya and/or Daenarys (only the separate story arcs, not the whole multi-charactered epic). You know in Arya's story she's becomes a young assassin and in Danny, you know, dragon queen. I'm looking for similar action/adventure/fantasy stories with girl protagonists that's not completely cliched. Thanks a lot for any help.

Max (maxv) | 11 comments Thanks for all the recommendations. Just realized how hard it is to find good epic/ high fantasy books for adults with female leads. :/

Betty Cross (bettycross) My own World-Queen books are something like the Daenarys story, so far as I understand it. BTW I only know the contents of the Song of Fire and Ice saga secondhand.

My World-Queen books are about the dispossessed heiress of a global empire who struggles to regain her father's power.

Anyway, "Mistress of the Topaz" is already out there, both as an ebook (many places) or paperback on Lulu.com. "Mistress of Land and Sea" will come out later this year.
