I have enjoyed the other books that I read by Deeanne Gist. This one, her lowest rated book was different than the others, but I really liked it. I can understand why it is maybe rated lower as it is book #1 and seems to leave major parts of the story hanging. I am guessing book #2, which is rated higher, probably resolves several things from this first book. I am glad that I read it and will soon be reading the sequel.
