okay, 5 chapters in and I have to say : I love the writing so far! I love the two different authors because I can definitely feel/read it in the two voices.

they are very distinct and very diffferent!

Did anyone else get to this one today? What do you guys think so far?

Okay, so sorry I get to go all annoying fangirl on your guys

but this is my homestate - this book is based in Oregon (where did all these Oregon books come from! LOL I love it!)

So, Voodoo donut = best dounut shop in the state!

and, just to give you an idea of the Vista House.
The gorgeous prom scene from Twilight & the waterfall scene from twilight AND the baseball scenes...all of those were filmed ~ 1 mile from Vista House.

it's a VERY pretty area. water, green trees, beautiful views :)

I don't know what's wrong with me today, but every time I read for a while my eyes start crossing and I fall asleep. Guess it's all catching up with me.

Anyway I'm in ch. 9 now. I think that the plot is predictable, but I won't know that until I finish reading it and find out what happens. I think that both Dylan and Ziah are acting like (view spoiler)[ spoiled rotten little brats. They should be happy for their siblings! Ziah especially should give her sister some slack. This is her sister's time, and we humans don't always catch things we should! Ziah should simply tell her sister what's going on with her. Dylan seems to be nicer than what Ziah gave him credit for, and I didn't think the spilled beer was such a big deal. Did I miss something? Trisha, do we find out later in the book where Dylan's mother went to when she left? I mean did she literally leave them or die? If I missed it, tell me. If it tells us later in the book, just let me know that but don't tell me where. (hide spoiler)]

I like the relaxed pace, but I keep falling asleep. I am switching over to Opal now. I only have 3 1/2 hours left to read before I have to get ready for prom. Oh, yippee! LOL

Yes, we get more details about the mom, but so far I'm over 1/2 way and I don't have all the details yet.

I am enjoying it, which is why I read it and left Opal for a while. It's just that I am overly tired. But I do think it's predictable.

OMG, I absolutely LOVED this! I loved Dylan and I loved Ziah. I thought they were so well done!
I even loved Derrick and Lora, and their dads and mom.

I started it this morning, I'm at chapter 4. I really like Ziah, she seems like a smart girl. And Dylan, well I think he's just a tab over dramatic I mean really (view spoiler)[ his brother tells him he's getting married and he pukes? I guess it's his dad's fault, there's really no other explanation for that, but I'm not that far into it so. (hide spoiler)]

And Gisbelle is right it has already made me laugh out loud. :)

Okay, I am in ch. 11 and I am beginning to see a different (view spoiler)[ side to Dylan. I think he is beginning to show his softer side, the side that is really more him. His bratty and selfish side is just the scared little boy Dylan who is afraid to lose more than he already has. (hide spoiler)]

I am also glad that Ziah (view spoiler)[ finally confided in her sister, so now they can go about their business of being sisters! Ziah can thank Dylan for that. He is a good listener...good guy! (hide spoiler)]

I just finished chapter 15. I'm really liking it so far. Dylan and Ziah are so funny together, they really make me laugh out loud.

I don't the circumstances as to why his mom left yet, but with him being so young when it happened it really scared him and that just breaks my heart. (hide spoiler)]

And as for (view spoiler)[ Alyssa and James, that's a hard situation, sad really but at least Alyssa hasn't drank any since that night and is owning up to her mistakes. I'm wondering what she'll do about James. (hide spoiler)]

I liked Ziah...love that name...she's smart and funny and didn't let Dylan pull any crap. She cracked me up when she (view spoiler)[ was drunk and was bossy but silly telling Dylan he couldn't leave without kissing her. (hide spoiler)]

The romance was very sweet and I found myself not wanting the book to end. Gisbelle said there's sequel? I so can't wait for that.
