I thought the romance was really sweet and very appropriate for YA. I'd feel very comfortable to recommend it to my students. I think that (view spoiler)[ Dylan was very hurt by his mom's abandonment and I completely get how he (at first) felt abandoned by everyone else when his mother came back. What I did't think was enough was when he talked with her. I expected more from that scene. (hide spoiler)] Really good book.

What I really liked is that it's innocent enough for young people to read without too much (none) sex. Yet the hormones are running amuck!

Absolutely. Too many steamy books out there. It is getting hard to recommend appropriate books to young readers.
