The good news is that it will be easier for those of us with these lower numbers to double the number of books read!"
Looks like I'm at 63 out of 205 now. Almost triple the number I'd read from 2 years ago!
Reading the two currently-reading books now, so I should be at 65/207 after that = 31.4%. Can I reach 33%???

Repeat after me: "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can".

It's very addictive. :)

The books on the bookshelf are the ones chosen for our monthly reads. They're chosen via nominations and then polls.

I thought the same think when I joined the group. First I was thinking I have read all the good ones, what kind of list do these people have? Then as I started reading the highest rated ones (I really miss the listopia list) I started thinking what have I been doing to miss so many great books?
I started the group having read about 60 and now I am up to 171. I think 90% is my final and achievable goal. That allows me to skip 1-2 a year once I catch up. The books for the most part have been fantastic.

Woo hoo! That's an exciting milestone :)

I love when books I've read already are picked so I can jump in on the discussion.

Ha! Thanks, I will skip it. :)

Kim and Sarah Anne are the moderators, but usually there are a lot of people willing to answer questions around here if you ask.

Counting these can be odd. For example, I had already read Hitchhiker's Guide when I joined, but it wasn't on the bookshelf yet.

3 years and 3 months later I'm up to 76/213. Some I've read with the club, some I'd previously read and the club added them.
2013 percentage: 33%
2016 percentage: 35%
I'm gaining! Also currently reading 2 club picks, Nexus and Red Rising, so that will increase the percentage, too.
Edit addendum: I also added 12 to this year's challenge to read club books, with 2 down and 2 currently, so if I get anywhere near that goal it will boost my percentage.

I joined 6/30/14. I'm such a newbie.
