How many of our Club Books have you read?

thanks! I am still at 140.
Btw, I have decided not to consume chocochip brownies anymore. The last ones I ate were wayyy too sweet - tried different bakeries - maybe because of the chips. I opt for the usual cashew ones now.
Or maybe I should move to banana breads....

welcome to the Triple Digit Club House, bro!

336 pages: 12 books
416 pages: 8 books
384 pages: 7 books
400 pages: 5 books
448 pages: 5 books
There is some deep meaning here, I'm certain of it...
(Edit: I went down a small rabbit hole, not a rabbit hill. I'll save the rabbit hill for tomorrow.)

OK, future theme: Books that are 336 pages.

That sounds like a fun theme! Probably one of the easier ones to validate, too...

But very hard to find something to nominate :D

Any volunteers to compose a limerick to this grand occasion? In the world of poetry, I'd make a good streetsweeper.
Also, I forgot to call dibs on some Orange Mead for my 200 (?) back in this post #1218 in January. Any of that still around?

Just bursting with meter and rhyme!
It seems that Blindsight will be my 161st read from the clubs shelf. I've been pretty lax in updating my spreadsheet as of late and don't know what the milestone books were. :/

I took a quick look, because this is a very serious and important thing that needs to be addressed. Going by your read dates, and assuming I didn’t miss any book titles from our shelf, Gospel of Loki was the momentous book this past April 28.
160: Annihilation
159: The Library of the Unwritten
158: More Than Human
157: The Day of the Triffids
156: Magician
155: Childhood’s End
154: Blood Song
153: Cage of Souls
152: Dragonflight
151: Cat’s Cradle
150: Gospel of Loki

So, I'm going to start going through all 29539 members now, one by one, and make a spreadsheet! :P

It won’t be 100% accurate for me, though. I’ve only shelved books I’ve read since joining GR. There are some books on our group shelf that I had already read before joining GR. Plus I think there are a few omnibus discrepancies. Like I read and shelved The Lord of the Rings (one volume to rule them all!) rather than the individual The Fellowship of the Ring on our shelf.

You know what's really creepy? XD - that I don't find it that unlikely to believe. XD

edit: Or as pointless but more fun!

I was in the U.S. of A the last couple months, ate at Cheesecake Factory twice. Dessert report : 1. Carrot Cake; 2. Linda's Fudge Cake.
Sooooo good.

I’ve read a couple more books from our shelves since I last reported:
Parable of the Sower
The Day of the Triffids
Annihilation
I liked them all a lot but for very different reasons. Maybe I’m just easy to please.

LOL, I love that you came all the way from Germany and managed to fit in a trip to the Cheesecake Factory, and I live less than 5 miles from one (close enough to occasionally hear it calling to me!) and haven’t been there in years. I haven’t actually tried any of their non-cheesecake desserts, so I’m glad (I think) to hear that those are good too.

Thanks YouKneek! I'm pretty good with Read Days now, but two of those group shelf reads were rereads for me. I think book 150 was The Left Hand of Darkness (and even if it wasn't I'm choosing to believe that it was because it feels right to have LeGuin as a milestone read).

Congrats, Diane! 100 is chocolate level, yes? :)
Looking at my handy-dandy spreadsheet, I have a mighty 63. I pretty consistently hover at 25% of the SFFBC books I intend to read. Which sounds good until you remember that the 75% increases by 18-ish books every year. :D
