I have read the rest of the books, including the demigod files (which I thought was a great addition- it features interviews and activities as well as those short stories & map)I recommend it =)
I plan to...eventually...if I have time. It's not one of those that I want to run right out and read all of them. My husband, on the other hand, devoured all the books within about a week's time! :->
I think that I will. I'd like to read them. I put the 2nd one on my to-read shelf. There's just so many books I want to read, I'll have to see.
I've read the second one and do plan to finish the series. I'm not in a *huge* hurry to, but I would like to somewhat soon. And I wasn't familiar with the Demigod Files, so thanks Angie and Sara for bringing that to our attention!:)
I've read all 4 and I'm waiting for the 5th to come out.
I plan to read the next one--I have to wait as I am trying to read An Invisible Man at the moment. The next one is my "reward" :)
I probably will if I can get them from the library. I just finished the book and read about the next one and I am interested.

I have read through the third book and want to finish the series. I typically try to read at least on in a series so that I am familar enough with a series to recommend it to kids, but this is a series I actually want to finish for my own pleasure, too.
My son and I compete for who gets to read the next one first when it comes out! Its fun to have something in common, especially since I am the book 3 prize winner. Alas, he got book 4 for his birthday and hasn't decided yet whether or not he will "loan" it to me before he gets a chance to read it.
I've really been enjoying this series! I actually got my husband into it, which is no small feat (he's done with the series already, and anxiously awaiting The Last Olympian). I've just started the fourth book, The Battle of the Labyrinth, which looks promising. I'd have to say that, so far, The Lightning Thief was my favorite, followed closely by The Titan's Curse, and then The Sea of Monsters, and The Demigod Files (I shouldn't have read this before BotL, but it didn't spoil anything until the last short story).
Angie - The Demigod Files should be read after The Battle of the Labyrinth, if you want to avoid any spoilers for The Last Olympian.
I've read all of them, including the Demigod Files. I loved them all. :) Can't wait for The Last Olympian.
I've read a couple of them. My daughter is farther along in the series than I am; I should be catching up soon though. I'll have to hunt down the Demigod files for her too.
The Last Olympian is out on May 5th--my daughter has a request for me to buy it for her 1/2 birthday present (no, I don't buy her 1/2 birthday presents, but she needed an excuse to use my $$)
OOH good idea...my birthday (real, not half) IS May 5th. Now I know one more thing to add to my list. Or more likely, one more thing to do with one of my gift cards!

*ahem* actually it's called The Last Olympianlol!! sorry i'm a geek ... and i've been waiting for this book for a whole year *since i read the fourth one* ^_^ it comes out tomorrow. i'm so psyched!
As a whole, I've really enjoyed this series. It doesn't capture a 'new world' in the same way that the Potter or Twilight series does, but it's fun adventure and they're quick reads. Here are my reviews on the rest of the books in this series:

I've scrolled down quickly to avoid any possible spoilers! :]
I read Lightning Thief and, overall, thought it was pretty good. At the end, though, I didn't feel this urgent need to go out a buy the second one.
My question is, should I do it anyway? Is this series a must? I'm sure I'd get around to it eventually... but who knows how long that would take.
Am I missing out? I'd love anyone's thoughts!

I know what you mean. The end of the Lightning Thief didn't make me feel like I was dying to read more. But after I started the second book, I was hooked. In my opinion, each book in the series is better than the last.

lol I felt the same way.... but I'll read the rest because somehow I wanted to see how it goes. :]
This is still one of my favorite book series! I enjoyed each of the books a little more then the one before it!

What I say to this is continue on. I have 100 pages to go before I finish the last book in the series and I am LOVING every minute of it. The 2nd book was so so to me but after that it's great.
