State of Wonder

If you've read State of Wonder, would you recommend it to others to read? What kind of person do you think would most like this book?

If you like to mull on the personalities of characters, you will enjoy it. It also would appeal to someone who enjoys the imaginative departure.

Although we shared lots of opinions in our discussion last night about the plausibility of some of the situations in the novel and the development of some of the characters, all of the book club members agreed that the story was worth suspending belief and would recommend State of Wonder to other readers.

I thought State of Wonder was very similar in some ways to Caleb's Crossing.
