What a perfect way to start! I hope you enjoy the book - it's Miriam Toews at her best. #ReadingBingo

Which blocks are you interested in?

Elliot Chalom (2bitmonkey) | 4 comments Last year I finished the card in late October, and I thought all along that it was an easier card than 2013. So when you said you weren't doing a 2015 version I was disappointed but not devastated. Then you post this! http://www.retreatbyrandomhouse.ca/20... As a non-Canuck, I don't know if I can or should even try to play this game. I think of it like this - I'm a pretty good athlete, but my football and baseball skills aren't worth much if I have to wear skates! Similarly, I may be an avid reader but can I really compete when one of the squares is a book of Canadian poetry?

So I'm going to have to think about how I approach this year's challenge. In the meantime, I guess I'll get started on this: Jason Priestley: A Memoir!

I'm happy to get you started.
You can learn more about the Governor General's Literary Awards here: http://ggbooks.ca/
And more about the Scotiabank Giller Prize here: http://www.scotiabankgillerprize.ca/
Good luck!

Jason Priestley is a fabulously Canadian jumping off point. There are definitely different ways to approach this card and I'm sure you'll find one that works for you.
Good luck!
