Except change the []s to <>s.

How you get to the link will depend on your browser. If you're using Chrome, you hold down the image until the menu pops up, then click "copy link URL." (Unless the image is really a link, then you want to click "Open image" then copy what's in the address bar.)

I've noticed it's out of synch- hugely!!! it's showing me as only reading 26 books but if you look at my 'books read in 2016' it's over 100.
Any ideas how I can get it back into synch please?
many thanks!!
Claire

All you need to do is go to your shelf, find the books that say "not set" under date-read (you'll want them all on top, just click date read once or twice until the arrow points up), click view next to them, then click edit next to the date and put in the date you finished the book in the boxes (doesn't have to be exact if you don't know it, it just needs to be in 2016), hit save and you should be good! :)

But try it - see if it suits your needs.

I came on here to ask that very question, love Secret Santa!

I don't understand what you mean with member corners.
How do you create a thread to track challenges?
And also, what does poll stand for?

1. For member corners, we have a folder in the group where people can make topics that are just for them to track their challenges, or post whatever they want in it. They're totally optional, so don't feel like you need to have one. I personally use mine to keep track of all of the challenges I sign up for and my progress, but like I said, it's totally up to you. If you want to make one, follow the instructions here.
2. We also have a place for you to create a topic to track the books you read each year. We organize them by the number of books you plan to read, so there are instructions with links here.
In the next few weeks, we'll start opening up places to put member corner topics and personal challenge topics for 2017, so it's up to you whether you want to make one for the remainder of 2016, or just wait for 2017 to roll around. If you set up a 2016 member corner and want to reuse it next year, you can always ask one of us mods to move your topic over to for the new year.
3. A poll is a way of allowing members to vote anonymously for our group reads. You can get to them through the sidebar on the right side of the group's page or here's a direct link.
4. If you want to sign up for December, go ahead and post a comment in this topic, answering the two questions. It says that the topic was closing on November 20th, but Kara hasn't closed it down yet to pair people up. If you can get your comment in quickly, you can be included! If not, let me know and I'm happy to be your twin next month.
Hope that helps but let me know if anything isn't clear!

We'll trying to catch and rescue any corners that have 2017 in the title but are in the 2016 folder, but don't hesitate to ask us to move things. :)

So this year I reread several books that have been registered with goodreads that have a date finished already. I noticed that when I reread (and update the status) that the book retains the original read date. If I update date, will it affect my numbers for the year that I'm pulling from? (if I re-read a book from 2014, will it change that years final number?)

Other members, if you know the answer, please help! :)

Thank you very much for your help Cassandra.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/..., was this it?

We recommend that everyone puts their name in their threads so they can find them through the search. Once you've found it, create a browser bookmark so you can get right to it again.

I have seen people put the link to their threads on their Goodreads profile, so they can access them easily from more than one computer.

I wasn't sure if it was okay I answered on this thread since I'm not a moderator. Happy to help :)
