I actually managed to mess up the dates for my buddy reads in my notebook so I wrote this was the 7th, and I began it yesterday on the 2hr long bus trip home and I read like literally half the book and when I came on here I saw the date was the 8th LOL! So I'll just join the discussion for how much you guys read today =)

It was so funny and cute omg, I think you guys are really going to love the first half (haven't read the other yet). Especially Cameron *swoons*

okay, I'm 5 chapters in and feeling like

he's nice
he cooks
he brings cookies
he's a flirt with cute bantor
he's Gorgeous
he smells good

and he's been a perfect gentleman to her even getting her a syllabus AND being her partner.

So first of all, (view spoiler)[ of course I was thinking the worst of Cam. I was so worried that the cookies that he made were going to end up being "special cookies" or that they were going to taste terrible... Lol I'm so glad that I was wrong about that one! :) It seems like the book is really flowing quickly. I think my favorite part so far is how Avery thinks/talks to herself, especially in chapter 3 where she's trying to fall asleep but can't stop thinking about Cam. I know that this is exactly what I always do when I'm trying to fall asleep. My mind is usually running all over the place. (hide spoiler)] I can't wait to keep reading when I get home from work today. :)


And Trisha, I totally agree on the line in chapter 4! I noticed some phrases seemed a little off, like in the very first line for example: "ever-loving". Shouldn't it actually be "ever-living"? Or have have I just been saying it & hearing it wrong my whole life? Lol

I've read the first 5 chapters so far and I am really enjoying this one.

I like the scene where Avery (view spoiler)[and Cameron first meet, when she walks into his back while she was not paying attention to where she was walking. (hide spoiler)]

I am liking Avery's friends Jacob and Brittany so far too.

I am liking Cam he is crush worthy. At the end of the 5th chapter it appears that Cam has a sore spot about (view spoiler)[soccer (hide spoiler)]. I am curious to learn more about that situation.

and is anyone else distracted by the typos in this book? I don't notice them (and feel the effect on the story) often...but this one seems especially jumbled.

I have read through chapter 20 so far and one of the things that is bugging me is that Avery is very (view spoiler)[immature. Her ignoring and avoiding Cam and dropping her class to avoid him is all drastic behavior. She is so immature. I find her very annoying. (hide spoiler)]

Well I just finished this. I liked it but I did not love it. I had a hard time liking Avery she just irked me throughout the book.

I just finished it as well. I agree too. She didn't seem like a 19- then 20-year-old. I know that her past could have been the reason behind it, but with that immaturity, Cam wouldn't have (in real life) have been interested in her. Just my thought. I gotta say that Jacob had to have been my favorite character by far. He definitely got some real LOL's from me. :)

I'm on chapter 13 and I'm liking it so far.

Cam is really sweet and (view spoiler)[ I think he likes that Avery isn't like other girls, falling all over him and coming on to him. Also he probably sees her as a challenge. I like it that he isn't pushing her too much, maybe he sees that there is something off with her. I don't know like he recognizes she's emotionally scarred and has issues. (hide spoiler)] I wish we could see his POV, I would love to know what he's thinking!!! :)

Avery is alright, I mean with all her baggage and everything, she is still making me laugh and I want to know (view spoiler)[ who the unknown caller is. What the heck is up with her parents and cousin, and why they think she's ruined they family name or some crazy crap like that. What did this Blaine do to her exaclty...gag, hate that name, just the name makes him sound like a rat. :/ (hide spoiler)]

My heart broke(view spoiler)[ for Avery, when she told Cam's mom about how she spent her holidays. How she remembered some of the incident when she tried to kill herself. Also for Cam because he wanted so much for her to talk to him, and then again for her because she didn't know how. And now they aren't talking. :( (hide spoiler)]

OK finished, I really liked it. I really liked Cam, he was very sweet and him baking was just the icing on the cake.

I thought Avery was alright, (view spoiler)[ I mean she was only 14 when she had this horrific experience happened to her. Her parents only thought of themselves and wouldn't stand up for her and defend her. I mean I can see how she would have a hard time trusting someone when she couldn't even trust her own parents. I wished she had told him before she finally did, I wished she had made different choices, but I can see why see didn't, I don't agree with it but I understand it. (hide spoiler)]

So Cam's sister (view spoiler)[ is going to go to school there. I wonder if the next one is about Jase and Teresa, because he was kind of weird at the end. (hide spoiler)]
