When did you first read Twilight?

Ok I first read the book Twilight, about two and a half years ago. I remember telling everyoen to read it and no one did then all of the sudden it gets super popular. I love that all fo my friends have read Twilight. I like to be the only one but having company is so much better. But my point is when did you guys first read Twilight?.

I heard about it on this show and I thought about reading then I aksed my friend if she'd read it n she was at that time reading Breaking Dawn and she told me it was amazing. So I started reading it. That was late August...

i read it after Breaking Dawn came out, wanted to see what all the excitement was about. Now I know. LOL. but yeah. This August, and finished early September. (i coulda read em faster but i had 2 wait 4 eclipse and BD.)

Um...agreed. Its like you are just here to put a thorn in people's sides. Like you are here for no higher purpose than to annoy us.I mean, I love debating with people and am always open to seeing peoples opinions when they have VALID REASONING FOR THEM, but just going around and shoving it in people's faces kind of sucks. How about you go find something you like, let us try to bring up all the negatives in it,constantly remind you of all the bad,and see how you like it??
Anyways,back on topic (sorry for the rant, but it needed to be said), I first read twilight about two years ago. Loved it, but did not pick up new moon until last year and so on.

I read it after breaking dawn came out. i was in the bathroom at barnes and nobles and saw the poster for the midnight vampire ball thing and decided to see what the hype was about and ended up LOVING it.

I started the first book Saturday 4/11/2009 and finished the fourth book Wednesday 4/15/2009. Yep, I'm a newborn! I heard about the books a year and a half ago (before BD came out), and I refused to buy into "the hype". I didn't want to wind up with a Harry Potter-like obsession again. (Seriously, the 2+ years between books was devastating.) Then my sister showed up two weeks ago with the Twilight DVD and said, "You HAVE to watch this movie!" So after I watched the movie 16 times in 6 days... I became obsessed with reading the books. If the movie was that good... what were the books like? If I had really known, I may not have even started them.

The first time I read Twilight was when I was beginning my 6th Grade year and one of my friends who was a &th Grader at that time was reading it. She was glued to that book when I came in and she was called to the front. So I was bored and I know it's rude to take something without asking and I usually don't do this but I started to read the book! Ik it's carzy to say this about a book but I think it was fate becuase when I was thinking about reading the book without asking, somethign pulled me to read it and so I trusted my instincts well rather my guy because instincts should be used for a death situation and read it! Well the first chapter and than when my friend came back I told her that I read it and hoped she didn't mind! She told me about it and I was getting interested so the day after I read it. It might sound wierd but that year I was so lonely. I kinda felt eerie all the time. Like I was there but no one could see me and when they did, they just saw me as a reflection of a glass that really actually exist! But when I started to read the book, I started to feel less lonely and I guess it was my dose of reality. Ikr, you think I'm crazy because its just a book but that's how it was. What amazed me was that I never liked reading but when I read that saga I started to like reading a lot! Now I can't seem to stop reading! And this was before it started to get famous! My friends blame me for their addiction to Twilight since I was the first in my class to read it! I guess things do start to begin by one person.
