K.g. Powderly (kg_powderly) | 2 comments I have earlier versions of my novel series that has recently been expanded with a new book coming. I would like to delete the older versions so that the current versions (which are much more professionally edited and covered) with new material come up instead of the old ones. If I can't control my own material, could a librarian please help me. Once the changes are made, all I plan to do is add new books from here on out and plug your site. Thanks.

Yes, I understood them to be separate editions of the same work. Not identical to each other, but still an earlier and later edition of the same title. So I combined them. If I was wrong (entirely possible!) they can be separated. :-)

K.G., your earlier works will need to stay since they were published, but once the new works are finalized and loaded to Goodreads, the earlier works can be combined with the new editions.

As for making sure the top book (the one that is seen first when viewing your works) is one of the newer ones, I don't know how to do that. I'd suggest you start a new thread in the Book Issues folder asking about that.

Goodreads may not be accepting new librarian applications at this time and only the staff know what they're looking for in applications, so there's nothing we can do to help you with that.

You may post any profiles here that need editing with the changes necessary and someone will be more than happy to make those changes.

K.G., you'll need to apply to claim your author profile. Once you have and are approved (24-48 hours, usually), you can set the newer editions to primary.

The Professional Cooking, two of those were the book plus a study guide set, so I did not combine them with the main listing.

Similarly, for the Professional Cooking for Canadian Chefs, one was a Teacher's implementation Kit, which seems like it is not the same as the book. There was also a Book+Study Guide set that I did not combine.

(NOTE: Last two were already combined.)

Geoffrey Fox (gefox) | 4 comments I just reviewed a book that is available in several print editions, but the Kindle version I used is not listed in Goodreads. Histoire de la Commune de 1871, by Prosper-Olivier Lissagaray. No ISBN is listed. I'd like to recommend this edition to my readers, because it is cheap (Eur 4.49) and because on Kindle you can combine it with a French dictionary making it easier for us non-French to read.
