Julia (juliace) | 71 comments Hi All - I don't remember much about this book other than I liked it alot, but I'll give it a shot.
I think the book started off with with 2-3 men transporting a tiger for some reason or another, and I think they are in NJ but I'm not sure. I think there is an accident and the tiger escapes. The local police department is called in to try to catch the tiger, but the tiger hunts and kills them one by one. For some reason I also think that the local sheriff called a tiger expert and the expert told them that the tiger was not a normal tiger but had "mystical" powers.

Not an exact match, it's set in LA and the tiger escapes from a zoo, not transport, but worth a shot: Claw

if that's not the one you're looking for, how long ago did you read it? It will help narrow things down.

Julia (juliace) | 71 comments Thanks Andria, I'll check out any summaries I can find on line regarding Claw and see if that is the one, but I hate to say that I don't think it is.
I read it about 3-5 years ago and checked it out from my local library.

OK, I'll keep looking around. Jack Warner has a couple of tiger-on-the-loose tales: Maneater and Shikar

Julia (juliace) | 71 comments I think this may be it!! Going to try to download right now to see if I can get a sample!!! I don't want to say it's "Solved" yet, but fingers crossed!! Thanks so much!!!!

Andria - I think Shikar may be the book I've been looking for. I just received it from the library and it sounds familiar. I want to read a couple more chapters though before I mark it as read. Thanks again for your help!!
