The Worst Book You've Ever Read

I hope Kelly decides to tell us! :)
Kellie wrote: "I think the worst book I've ever read is Water Wars. I think it was the only book I've ever had to force myself to finish reading. It had a very promising plot but the writing just fell flat."I agree. i was so excited when i found out what the plot was. i kept expecting it to get better, but the writing just didn't do the plot justice.

I didn't get that far! If I really don't like a book, I don't read it to the end (unless it has been given to me to review). I've got such a big tbr that I can't waste time on something I'm not enjoying.
Probably the My Blood Approves series by Amanda Hocking. I just found it hard to find anything to respect about most of the characters, plus there was a fan-shipping war and the author making a blog post explaining her intentions that made little sense to me.
Gale wrote: "O think for me it was mockingjay it was such a terrible ending to the hunger games series"Totally!!!! It was such a let down!
The worst book I've ever read has got to be I Heard the Owl Call my Name. It was a required reading this year for English class, so I already hated it for that reason. The plot was so dull and the ending was so stupid. I couldn't even read it, I read it on my kindle and had my kindle read it to me, because if I tried reading it I would just drift off into space.
Uglies was so hard for me to get through... I rarely give up on a series after one book but a man trying to write from a teenage girls perspective was just awful. So disappointing because I loved the premise of the book.

Probably Twilight. The plot is ok but the book seems to have no emotion. Ok so Harry Potter and Hunger Games and a lot of other series out there are about a person trying to overcome evil while encountering hardships but Twilight is mostly about getting a boy friend.

*Out of interest Lex, I notice Candor is your profile picture- does that mean that you'd be in Candor!??!?!
I totally thought I would be Candor but my friends disagree and say I would be Abnegation... but I think it is almost impossible to actually be abnegation
I agree! It would be extremely difficult to truly belong to abnegation! It is human nature to care about yourself before others! It is possible but rare
I'm surprised that most people aren't divergent though, I know that I fit into one faction more but there's definitely 2 or 3 factions that fit me really well...
Definitely 50 Shades of Grey. The sex scenes are painfully awkward and the writing is absolutely awful. I only finished about 50 pages until I got bored of it.
After The Ending The main characters were around 25, They sent emails to each other just talking about their love life in the apocalypse and they just told each other everything that happened. (Which, apart from their love lives, was nothing.)Not only was that annoying, but they had internet on their phone and computer.. but all the radio and phone line wasn't working. (Which they shouldn't, it's the apocalypse!) Would have loved to know how they got better internet connection than me!

Shantel wrote: "Loved Matched but STRUGGLED to get through Crossed... I am hoping Reached ends up better!"Completely agree! I thought Crossed was pretty bad. :(
Reached is definitely better, but I still liked Matched the best. I think there's the most character development in Matched. :)

I couldn't even get through Matched. My librarian gave it to me, raving about how it was the best but I thought it was okay..

Twilight wasn't the worst book I've ever read, but it was definitely the worst wildly popular book I've ever read. The kind of book that had me scratching my head and saying, "You've GOT to be kidding me." Worldwide success and 4 excruciatingly bad movies later (I haven't bothered with reading the other books (my eyeballs are still recovering from "eye-rolling convulsions" enough as it is after the first one) and only saw the movies as a male hostage), and it just leaves me as baffled as a monkey searching for his banana after a tornado at their popularity. One can only hope that a whole generation of "Twi-hards" will be properly ashamed of themselves 10 years from now.
Yeah, I only read the 1st book, never watched the movies, and I just couldn't understand how it got so popular.I don't despise the book, but I definitely don't like it. And the book isn't special, different, or unique, how did it even become popular?
Riya wrote: I couldn't even get through Matched. My librarian gave it to me, raving about how it was the best but I thought it was okay.. Yeah, it definitely didn't live up to my expectations. It was disappointing, especially since I liked the cover so much. A lot of the details about the world are pretty vague.

Same- I also didn't like the way the love triangle worked, it started off so much better, but the ending didn't work at all!
Riya wrote: Same- I also didn't like the way the love triangle worked, it started off so much better, but the ending didn't work at all!"Agreed! I'm getting so tired of bad love triangles haha. It seems like every book I've read lately has had one!

I was mostly just mad at Cassia for not being happy to be matched with her best friend and didn't understand what she saw in Ky. But in Hunger Games I wasn't on team Gale so I don't know why I want Cassia and Zandr to end up together!

I liked Ky! I don't know why. I don't remember knowing much about Xander until Reached, though. (Although during Reached I kept confusing Cassia's chapters with Xander's.)Haha but I liked Gale, too. Until the end of Mockingjay...wasn't able to like him after that.
My least favorite book that I have ever reaD was The Giver. I just never got interested in the book. So frusterating.
I didn't hate it, but yeah I didn't like the Giver that much either. I think I was simply too young to truly appreciate it though when I read it.
Like many of King's books, "It" starts out great then "It" gets silly.
Giant Space Turtle? Really, Mr. King? Really?
