Shatter Me
discussion
Warner or Adam? Is there really a "bad guy"?

He's got that 'its me and you against the world' thing going on. Whatever happened in that book, he still has the opportunity to change. Power to change, in fact. For the greater good.
I wouldn't really label him as a bad guy but just in the 'unsure' box. There's still sense in him.
Because there was something else that I liked about him, which I found interesting. And that was when he befriended Juliette. It wasn't just her powers he was intrigued by but, something more. I couldn't decipher what, but I'm dying to find out. I don't know. It's left this huge question on my forehead......

There's something mysterious about him. (Haven't read vol.2, so... until now, I like him.) :D

And if you guys read books 1.5 and 2, Warner is really awesome. He will make you fall in love with him...

there has to be something though otherwise it would just be a finale of a trilogy with a love triangle and that's just too cliche and anti-climactic

I originally thought he was a psycho. Read Destroy Me. It will change everything! :)

1.He’s nothing but a 19-year-old ruthless boy who is desperate to get himself a girlfriend.
2.He’s annoying, pushy and offensive that I’m close to snapping the head off his neck.
3.He’s stoic. It will keep you wondering what his real motives are.
4.Remember “Him” (the devil) from Powerpuff girls? That’s the kind of voice that he would remind me of. It’s sick but it keeps on playing anyway―like a love song deeply buried inside your head after hearing it for so long.
5.He’s a psychopath. He treats Juliette like an aphrodisiac. I want to yell: Just. Go. Away. You're. Too. Annoying.
After reading Destroy Me:
1.I’m a terrible liar. Please delete the text above. Warner is a soft cotton ball you would love to fall on. Tahere Mafi has the power to turn things upside down. I was betrayed by falling into this delusion that Warner is a bad guy. He isn’t.
2.I don’t usually go for the villain but there’s something more I need to know about him. I’m afraid I would end up blurting this out: Team Warner!
3.Warner. Warner. Warner. Is all I could think of. Make sure you read his private file! Here’s a teaser:
“She is currently sleeping in my bed.
I finally provided her with the perfect opportunity to display her abilities and she fainted. The tiny, frail thing—I must make sure she eats more—just collapsed in my arms. I’ve seen my fair share of horrified persons in my nineteen years—emotions competing on the faces of my dying enemies, my own men, even myself. But the kind of terror and paralyzing fear on her face was so unexpected as to be remarkable. Jenkins, yes, I expected him to be perhaps mildly concerned for his own welfare. But this girl. The insanity I’ve been told about was all over her face only in that moment. “
“I lost her.
She hates me.
She hates me and I repulse her and I might never see her again, and it is entirely my own doing. This notebook might be all I have left of her. My hand is still hovering over the cover, tempting me to open it and find her again, even if it’s only for a short while, even if it’s only on paper. But part of me is terrified. This might not end well. This might not be anything I want to see. And so help me, if this turns out to be some kind of diary concerning her thoughts and feelings about Kent, I might just throw myself out the window.”

He's got that 'its me and you against the world' thing going on. Whatever happened in that ..."
Then you should read Destroy Me... You probably would get an answer to that.

Again, read Destroy Me then go back here and share your opinion again <3

Yeah, I agree :)

I havent read Destory Me or Unravel Me yet, but i dont think there's a bad guy

i agree with you i haven't read drestroy me yet hope it will change my mind but i don't get how you change from Team Adam to Team Warner. Adam was the only person who loved her since they were children and still loves her after founding out about her ability. Warner just came bouncing around wanting to use her. He locked her up in a cell for like 2 to 3 years.Just don't get it.

He made every infinitesimal moment reading this book magnificent than the last one.SO GO TEAM WARNER!!!!!!!!!! ♥ ❤ ❥

I knew that I would like Warner more in Destroy me and I did. But another thing that I liked about that book is that it also helped me to understand Juliette too and Warner's obsession with her. He has fallen hard and what I liked the most about him is that although he wants Juliette to choose the future that he thinks she wants, he never dominates her.
And good or evil, I like Warner more because of his intensified complexity, the layers that he continuously keep on and it is very evident to know why. In some ways he reminds me of vampire Diarie's damon.

I AM IN LOVE LOVE WITH WARNER! There doesnt seem to be a bad guy in this series...I like Adam but i just love Warner so much

Warners father is defiantly the BAD GUY in this series

I've finished the trilogy and it did help me understand the characters and their relationships much more. I don't think there is a bad guy. There is one who would do anything and who is protective, and the other who is encouraging and is willing to fight for what he wants.
