Does Anyone Like Aspen?

Okay, so when I've looked at discussions, reviews,etc. on The Selection, I haven't been able to find one that wants America to end up with Aspen instead of Maxon. So does anyone want her to end up with Aspen??

That's what I thought!
H broke up with America simply because she had more money and food than him and wanted to share it? I just don't get it. What a stupid reason to break someone's heart.

I really do not like Aspen at all. He would almost get America arrested all the time, and actually acted like he liked her. Then he broke up their little fling because she brought him food since her family has more money. He is SOOOO annoying.
Do you think Kiera Cass is going to make them end up together even if we don't like it at all??

Aspen wanted the best for America and at the time he didn't feel like he could give that to her. When you truly love someone, you do what's best for them even if it hurts you. Look at America’s parents, the mother sucks the life out of everything. When you’re starving and you can’t feed yourself let alone your children, it takes the romance away. He wanted America to be safe, to not have to worry for anything. I think it was sweet and honestly when I read America’s reaction to it the first time I was mad at her. She started coming up with all these delusions of him only using her, when it was obvious he broke up with her b/c he thought it was better for her. Don’t blame him for being rational and realistic. It took a lot more for him to let her go than it would have to pretend everything was fine.
I think he is a great person but not for America.

I guess I can see that, but all other male characters in the book pale in comparison to Maxon (for me at least)
I just like Maxon better. Maybe I'll like Aspen better in the next book but right now I want him to die.
It was sweet that Aspen broke up their relationship to save America from the stress of being a 6, but I didn't like that he just came back while she's in the selection and doesn't care that he could get them in trouble. It was by his urging that she entered the selection and he owes her to let her see the process through.
I. Hate. Aspen. Why did he have to show up at the castle? I'm Team Maxon all the way!
I think that Aspen loved her so much that she broke up their relationship, so that she would have a better life though I thought how he broke up with her was ridiculous. The poor girl was trying to spoil him and it blew right back into her face. I think Aspen is nice (and extremly attractive) but the thing is Maxon has a bigger heart and he's way nicer to her than Aspen and for that Maxon will win I'm sure of it.

Haha! But yeah I totally agree, if a man said that to me I would punch him and tell him to get away from me. I get that Aspen wants to give America everything she wants, it took a while for me to agree to that point, but then why can't America give Aspen everything he wants?
Aspen is very hard to like. It's almost impossible so I'm not suprised that a lot of people hater him. He is an annoying jerk that doesn't know what he has until it leaves. TEAM MAXON!!!!!

Aspen has seen too many people suffer and starve and would rather be alone and miserable than bring America down with him. I want them to end up together. I don't even like Maxon.

Just read the script for the pilot. They are ruining Maxon's character. If you look up discussions for selection on the one called movie??? You can see them. I think I'm going to cry... They're making him sound terrible!

I like Maxon better, but my feelings about Aspen are conflicted.
I wish Aspen could die. He seems like a useless character. Maxon is so awesome. The point is that America is still in love with Aspen, which is going to be a big problem in the next book, because he is going to be in the palace. I am guessing America will keep hiding her secret, and then when Maxon finds out he will be really mad. I don't know. That is my prediction...
I guess I could like Aspen... I liked him at the start before he hurt America and I don't trust him one bit about Brenna tripping or anything else. But I think that Kiera Cass is going to make us like aspen in her next book. And I'm dreading it because I do not want another conflicted love triangle. It would totally confuse me! I may be trying to find faults withh Apsne because I'm already inclined to like Maxon more but... well I sure have found a lot of reasons not to like him
i dont like Aspen. i think he did the right thing, forcing her to sighn up for the sellection, and i undertstand that he thought he couldnt provide for her, but well, i just dont like Aspen. i think he has some secret alteryive motive. but hay, maby i just need to lay of the conspericy theries.anyways "TEEM MAXON!!!!" he is super sweet and nice and perfsct for America!!!
You know my least favorite character? Celeste. That. Girl. Is getting. On my nerves! That is one thing I don't like about Aspen. He likes Celeste! Ew. Oh, TEAM MAXON is spelled like TEAM MAXON...

I just reread The Selection again, and he is so possessive and confident. Poor Maxon. :(

I mean she is living in close quarters with a really nice, sweet guy. He would have to be pretty cocky to think there wasn't a single tiny possibility that she wouldn't fall for him.
