I just finished a first reads called "Someday My Prince Will Come" by Jerramy Fine You can read my review of it if you'd like.
I just read Unwind, and I recommend it to everyone. I'm almost halfway through The Book Thief, and it is perfect. I also have A Great and Terrible Beauty and Never Let Me Go checked out from the library.
I put Unwind of my "to read" list,it looks really good. I read the Gemma Doyle series (A Great and Terrible Beauty,Rebel Angel and The Sweet and Far Thing) It was really good. I enjoyed the second and third books a bit more than the first but I definitely think you will like them all.
I've been meaning to read the Book Thief I've heard a lot of good things about it.It's always checked out at the library so I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet.I'll let you know what i think once I've read it.

I'm currently reading Unwind and I think it is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Everyone really needs to read it!
I'm definitely going to put it at the top of my to read list! I've heard a lot of great things about it!
I am halfway through "Chosen" by P.C and Kristin Cast. It is the 3rd book in the "House of Night" series.
I keep on meaning to start reading that series,I've heard its really good, and I see them every time I go to the book store.
I found these Labyrinth books that are kind of Manga style and I have been reading those. I really loved the movie and they are supposed to take place after the movie,so that should be interesting.
I'm currently reading The Haunting of Hill House, The Queen of Bedlam, Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven, and Wintergirls (teen book).
This past week I read Peyton Place and Return to Peyton Place. I'm really trying to read the books I already own, so I can keep them or put them on PBSwap and get my money's worth out of them. I own a lot of really good books and I feel kind of selfish just keeping them all. Right now I'm reading The Good Earth and it's really good.
I'm currently reading Lemony Snicket's The Reptile Room which is fun though I think it may be my last "Unfortunate Events" book. I'm also reading The Bad Place by Dean Koontz. My mom recommended it to me. I've never read one of his books before but it's pretty entertaining. I'm about to go pick up Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones. I've heard a lot of good things about the author.
I picked upt the first 4 Lemony Snicket books a while ago because I found them for cheap. Are they really good?
Lori wrote: "I picked upt the first 4 Lemony Snicket books a while ago because I found them for cheap. Are they really good?"I think they're a fun read. I'm a slow reader and I read the first one in one day. The pages were thick so it looked longer than it was. I just finished the second one. They weren't amazing but they were enjoyable. I reviewed the second one. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Terri wrote: "Reading The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfield an dreally enjoying it"I love that series. I actually prefer it to the Uglies series.
I finished reading Slaughterhouse Five about 4 days ago. Right now I am reading Night World #1: Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness, Spellbound. I'll be finished with it in about 2 days. Then I will start reading Thirteen Reasons Why. Can't wait to start it.
I'm finishing up The Red Tent, which wasn't so great. You might like it if you don't mind Law & Order Special Victims unit. It gives me nightmares! Horror is one thing, because it is fiction, but this is something else.
I just finished The Rum Diary, which was really good. I don't know what I want to start next. So many good-sounding books to choose from!
A couple of days ago I started and finished reading (within the same day) Justine Larbalestier's How to Ditch Your Fairy. While I'm a fan of that group of Mass. writers (Cassandra Clare, Holly Black, Justine's husband Scott Westerfeld), I was surprised with HtDYF. I wasn't expecting anything and I was warned it is younger than I usually read. I think the fact that it is a turning age book, what I mean by that is it isn't exactly a children's book, but it isn't exactly YA either. Either way, I think I need to read it again to give a good opinion/review.
How'd you like it Jenna? I've been meaning to read that one for some time.I'm currently reading Archer's Goon and enjoying it. I'll probably finish it this morning. :)
I just finished Ella Enchanted and enjoyed it. I thought the romance between Ella and Prince Char was portrayed much better in the book than it was in the movie.
I am currently reading the second Percy Jackson book, The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan! It's such a fantastic read so far.
I really liked it Kristen,I think he's a very interesting writer,so I look forward to reading more of his work.
I've been reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels or also known as the True Blood books. I have had to stop though so I can catch up on June's reading list.
Michelle, is the TV show based on the novels? *has no clue about tv cause she doesn't have cable*I just picked up and read half of already - Raven, which I think Twilight fans would enjoy.
How are you enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse books Michelle? I've been meaning to check those out!
I'm currently reading Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink and it is really good but it kind of creeps me out. =]
I want to read Prophecy of Sisters! That looks really good. I'm sort of reading Gothic Lolita right now, but I've been really busy lately, so I haven't gotten far.
Kristen- Yes the TV show is based entirely on the Sookie Stackhouse novels. There are differences obviously but I think that the show needed these differences to make the show more exciting. Jenna- I didn't really enjoy the series that much at first because the descriptions were so unnecessary descriptive however the more of them I read the less I notice that and the more I enjoy them.
I have been reading Graceling and I have really been enjoying it. I find the whole concept intriguing and entertaining.
Michelle, I loved Graceling! That was a very good book.
I have been reading City of Bones, which I am loving very much. I am also listening to A Little Princess while I work in the office.

Michelle, I just finished Graceling and loved it!Now I've been reading Tamar A Novel of Espionage, Passion, and Betrayal and listening to The Name of the Wind.
I did just go to ALA in Chicago, and got over 100 books - mostly ARCs, but some books I'm dying to read.
I finished City of Bones, A Little Princess, and A Great and Terrible Beauty.
I am currently reading Eldest and re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone & Twilight.

Haha it wasn't that bad! That being said, I wasn't going to pick up Eldest or Brisingr, but my brother got them for Christmas and offered them to me to read. I am using Eldest in a challenge, or I probably still wouldn't have read it. I finished Eragon because it was a book I was reading for my first ever challenge and I didn't think I could change books so I read all of it. I tend to not put books down very often. I think I have only not finished 2 books that I started.
I put that book down twice.. I tried audio and book format.. still couldn't get through it. Are you using it for the Wild Things challenge? *wants to win that one badly*
Yeah. I want to place as well. I have a handful of books I just got from the library that will finish my list. I think if I finish them all, I will be in 2nd, but that depends on how everyone else does. :)
I need to finish two more books, but one of the challenges is two books, so I'm hoping to be in the top three, judging from who is close and how many books they have left.
