SOLVED. Fantasy novel about Kundry [s]

After seeing the opera Parsifal last weekend, I remembered there was a fantasy book written about the female character Kundry, which I would like to track down. It was probably more than 20 years ago that I saw it. I think the author was one of the female fantasy writers of the time with the initials S.S. (of which there were several).

The play Alice in Bed, by Susan Sontag, contains the character of Kundry. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, though.

@Bryan457, no, I'm quite sure it was a female author, and not a series. @Lobstergirl, no luck with the Canty covers on offer. I suspect these are more recent than the one I'm looking for.

Update: I had a flash of inspiration that the author might be Susan Shwartz, and so it proved to be; determined digging on Amazon and Abebooks revealed the title to be Grail of Hearts. I now have an inexpensive copy on order from Abebooks, and you can move this one to "solved"...
