Taylor (tgould802) | 2 comments Hey!
I’m Taylor! I have been writing small short blurb reviews for as long as I can remember, starting with The Babysitters Club series, and Junie B Jones. Since then I’ve always had books to fall back on. Recently my bookstagram has taken off and I find myself reading at least 6-8 books a month! I currently work remotely out of Alaska for a car dealership on the East Coast.
My favorite genre is definitely thriller/mystery. I also really like non-fiction true crime, and to keep things lighter I looove a good summer read/romance YA!
I’m looking for authors/publishers that are in need of someone to do reviews and post them on Goodreads/Instagram/Amazon!

Thank you, I’m so excited! FYI: the book community has been an absolute godsend!

If not, I'll be glad to send you a .pdf of the book's text. You can message me here, or email me at swetstein21@gmail.com. Thanks very much.

My name is Ebony, I am 24 years old, and I am an aspiring author! I have always loved reading, and I've dabbled in writing here and there throughout the years but never seriously. I recently found myself at a job I didn't love and decided to take the dive.
I self-published my first book, A Storm of Nightmares, a few weeks ago and am currently working on the second in the series. It's been an exciting and nerve-wracking journey, but I'm loving every step of the way!!

message 421: by Anna (new)

Anna Shulzhenko (annuttochka) | 2 comments Hi! My name's Anna. I like reading romance, paranormal, YA books.

I've read a lot in the last 2 or 3 years but I first came to Goodreads not for reviewing but to shelf books. Now I understand my mistake: sometimes I need to recall characters or events from the book but I don't remember where they were (I've read a lot of really long series).

I don't remember how I've found my first ARC copy but after reading it and finding some typos, I've sent an email to the author and it felt so good to give a feedback and to help someone who might find it really useful.

message 422: by Alyssa (new)

message 424: by Shemar (new)

Shemar James | 1 comments Hi All,

Creative writing has always been something that I have done in my free time. Writing was a way to explore my imagination and create fantastical worlds, develop fun characters, and craft interesting plots.

I recently published a comic books series, entitled Modern Monarchy: The Caveman King, a fantasy, adventure tale of a princess and her friends of the prehistoric world left to ward off the outside enemies that threaten to overthrow their kingdom while learning to form an uneasy alliance with the modern people of their day.

You can read it free and review here:

message 425: by Editors (new)

Editors Weekly (editorsweekly) | 1 comments Happy to introduce ourselves!

We are a small group of editors who have joined together to provide independent authors, whom we prefer, fair, impartial, and constructive editorial reviews on their novels.

We love singular novels, and with books in series, prefer them in order. All our submissions and reviews are 100% free, and once reviewed, we post our reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads, along with a dedicated page on Editor's Weekly.

Our goal is to help great independent authors get some traction, and also get their novels reviewed without the exorbitant prices many other facilities charge.

Note that as we are a free platform, your submission will be entered into the queue and will be reviewed whenever one of our staff picks it. Due to the number of submissions we receive:

1) Improperly edited submissions/author profiles will result in the assumption that the same level of care was put into the novel, and therefore, is unlikely to be reviewed. So please make sure you fully complete your submission and author profile!

2) Contacting us regarding the status of your review is not permitted! We operate impartially and do not have preferential treatment.

3) Novels that demonstrate they do not have sufficient copyediting or polishing are likewise unlikely to be reviewed - we want work you, as an author, would be proud to hard-cover publish using your own money!

4) You will not receive notification about your novel once it is submitted. We will post reviews on all platforms, and whether it be a really good one or one that isn't as awesome as you'd prefer, we don't edit/remove them once completed.

5) We purchase all the novels ourselves, so there is no need for you to submit the manuscript to us.

6) Your novel must be listed on Amazon.

Finally, note that although all of us at EDW have been in literature for many years, this is a new offering. Accordingly, although we do have a number of novels in queue already through internal submissions, submissions sooner rather than later are more likely to be reviewed, as we anticipate the queue to swell up quickly based on our initial tests. We are also launching on social media platforms, so if you do get a chance to tell others about us and send us a PM here on Goodreads, we can attach that to your review submission so that reviewers are encouraged to reciprocate the goodwill.

Thank you!

Sign up here: https://www.editorsweekly.com/registr...

Once logged in, you can submit your novel.

Excited to be here!

I am M.R. Anglin, a writer of YA/MG sci-fi and fantasy. I'll be (God willing) posting a thread with my latest book for review, but hopefully I'll find a good book here too.

message 436: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Nahabedian (rachel_nahabedian_vallance) Hi, I'm Rachel. Last year I read 24 books and set my goal for this year at 50 and I just finished my 118 of the year!

Listen to audio books while at work, read Kindle or physical books in the morning/at night. No kids here yet obviously lol

My goal for 2023 has also been to go in blind. I steer clear of reviews that just regurgitate the plot and try to avoid that in my own reviews. Reviewing books is very new to me and I just discovered ARCs and have found some great authors this way, so would like to keep it going!

message 440: by Eric (new)

Eric Gibson | 2 comments Hi folks, I'm Eric. I've just recently gone the self-publishing route. I write fantasy but enjoy comedy most and tend to insert it into everything anyway. So, I've written a Rom-Com and an authentic Medieval Comedy to test the waters while I finished editing my fantasy series. All three are out now. I'll see you around the forums.

message 441: by Andria (new)

Andria | 1 comments My name is Andria and I am a lover of mostly all genres of books. I am new to GoodReads, but so far am loving writing reviews and discovering new books!

Kathy (semi-hiatus) I’m Kathy. I’ve only recently become active on Goodreads. I’m a soon-to-be law student starting out as a new reviewer. My favorite fiction genres include historical & literary fiction, non-fiction include history, memoir, and social sciences. But anything textured & sophisticated would grab my attention.
I’m currently reviewing several books and will be actively seeking ARC copies for review starting mid-February. E books are fine, but it would be nice if I can receive physical copies (I have ADD and read better on paper).
It’s nice meeting you all and I hope to connect with more authors & reviewers. :)

message 447: by Dorothy (new)

Dorothy de Kok | 1 comments Hi, I'm Dorothy. I've written a novel about a young woman with Dissociative Identity Disorder. While it's based on a true story, I use magical realism to explain the complex aspects of multiple personality disorder. I wanted to present an honest but sympathetic view of DID, and I spent 6 years working with 27 alters to tell their story. It has MANY triggers, so not for the faint-hearted. If you liked the film Split and the vibe of Mr Robot you'll love We, Cathleen.
So I'm looking for ARC readers who care about mental disorders, or maybe they just want to know more and want to understand.
Thanks

message 448: by W.M. (new)

W.M. Leesman Hi! I’m Bill, although I go by William (WM) as an author. I released my debut thriller (book one of a trilogy) last year. I have book two releasing at the end of May this year.

I’m still looking for more ARC readers (and will add a subsequent thread post in the right category).

I am an avid reader of thrillers, dystopian sci-fi (Red Rising series), and just about anything else that tells a great story.

I’m a former used bookstore owner so have read a wide variety of genres/styles/authors.
