Mark | 5 comments I've set myself a target of completing at least 15 books within series by authors I've never read before. So this excludes Yann Martel's Life of Pi (not part of a series) and Jim Butcher's Codex Alera (I've read most of the Dresden Files).

Thus far I've achieved 5/15:
JD Robb - Naked in Death
Duncan Falconer - The Hijack
Laurel K Hamilton - Guilty Pleasures
Henning Mankell - Faceless Killers
Kim Newman - Anno Dracula
and I've also started Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander

Next up are Dana Stabenow, Richard Castle and Ellis Peters. Of course I still have to make time to complete GRRM's Song of Ice and Fire books 4&5 plus the next Jack Reacher as soon as it's released.

Mark | 5 comments Bit of a mixed bag last month. I'm now on 9/15, completed Master and Commander as well as the following 3 novels:
Richard Bard – Brainrush
Kathy Reichs – Deja Dead
Mark Hodder – Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack

I may be slowing down this quarter as I try to catch up on some books from my must-read list.

Mark | 5 comments Almost there. My total towards this is now 14/15. I've been mixing up the new writers with some old favourites. Added to my list are these 5 novels:
Ellis Peters - A morbid taste for bones
Robert Crais - The watchman
Dana Stabenow - A cold day for murder
Richard Castle - Heat Wave
J A Konrath - Cherry Bomb
