vampire diaries by LJ Smith series includes supernatural and romance

I've read a lot of books, but this one is pretty unique. Chloe isn't perfect and Derek is a jerk sometimes. There's more to this series than instant love. And its just an entire adventure with imperfect characters. Her spin-off series is just as good, so try that if you haven't. Loved it :)

Have you tried the Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon? I've only read the first book.
