Omg I know, but luckily the one book I really wanted was free, it's won some awards, it's called Freekshow and that's not a mispelling..;) Still nice of the guy to post them, alot of them are free today.
He posted that on July 4th.Most books are free for only a limited time. If you are clicking on them after the original posting date, (and always, really), be sure to double check the price.
Most sales are limited to only one day or a small amount of days, so you must act fast!

No one is a doofus. I've sometimes seen book prices change in the same day, so it's always a good idea to glance at the price before you buy.Amazon makes that one-clicking so damn easy! :)

I've even had one that said the price was $0.00 when the book displayed, but then told me the price had changed by the time I clicked on it to buy it. At least it was smart enough to know the price had changed, so it could notify me!
I just bought one for $4.99 yesterday that I thought was free. I just went over to "Manage Your Kindle" and returned it, with the drop-down explanation that it was accidentally purchased.
I've done that maybe a half-dozen times in the past and never had a problem getting a refund.
And, BTW, if it is a book you're interested in at a lower price, you can get an email notification from eReaderIQ, by putting it on a watch list:

Hi Michelle, I was able to get all of the books in the series (they sound like my kind of reading) except for #3. By the time I get there I'm sure I'm going to have to break down and buy it. :)

Randy ( sorry if someone already asked this but the thread is 8 pages long... :-P ) how do you get this list, anyway? I'd love to be able to do my own using my own search terms.

But I also do a search directly on Amazon, just for 4+ rated books, because they don't always get them all:

But the Amazon listing has *all* free books, so I keep a list of ASINs so I can cull out those that I've listed before. Otherwise, that list would just be hundreds of repeat titles every day.
I started from Amazon originally, because all of the free feeds were disappearing after their policy change. But then I found FreeBookSifter. But I don't know how long they will stay in operation.
And, BTW, if you want to create a search like the above on Amazon, this site will do it for you:
