Is it just me, or are a lot of the free horror books on amazon today in the wrong section.There is so much pnr/cozy mysteries (I kid you not)/romance in there it's not funny. A selection of the least horrific showing for me:

I guess, for Amazon a book already qualifies as horror if there is a vampire in the story. Doesn't matter if it is just a romance novel where one of the characters happens to be a vampire.

Well I like vampires, but some of these books aren't even classified as horror on amazon. So I'm confused how they got in there to begin with.
As I recall, it's the authors that determine which categories their books are listed in...
Randy, are you just taking a break, or have you decided not to share these lists any longer? I've always looked forward to going through them, but I understand it's a lot of work.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I went into the hospital in early December and got out of rehab in mid-January. I'm not sure when (or if) I'll get back to regular postings...

Hope you're feeling/coping better Randy. Thanks for doing the list. I tried to get my horror ebook free on kindle but they limited me to 5 days per 3 month period. I wonder how other authors get their books permanently free on KDP? Anyways, I'm always glad to read free horror books.
