Imaginative discussion
Introduction
Hello everyone, I am Sydney, real name. I call myself Usul at times and call my girlfriend Chani at times, after the two lovebirds in the greatest sci-fi book ever written DUNE by Frank Herbert. To me, reading is a sacred thing. Reading is my first love and I owe my life to the characters in the books. I daydream most of the day. Let us be friends :)
Hello I'm Brittany and I just want someone to talk to about the books I read. I love everything but have my favorites.

thanks, I live in West Virginia and the nearest book store is two hours away. So, when I go there I get to talk but its hard to find anyone where I live that reads as much as I do, and the ones that do don't have a well rounded taste for books

Nice to meet you MIRI. Who's life isn't about reading. For those so called "popular" people out there who make fun of book worms. Without book warms, nobody would be smart, and there is no way, stilettos would exist.

True that. And, hey! Who said being a geek was a bad thing. Cause all of us geeks know if there ever is a world crisis such as aliens taking over the world or Zombie apocalypse; the so called "popular" ones are going to be gone first. You know what they say.! The dumb ones are always the first ones to go.

not only will they be eaten. we would most likely have a big party to honor the zombies (feeling: EVIL). saying this doesn't necessarily make me a bad person. its just helps express my opinion, and to warn "popular" people that Karma will strike back. hopefully ending in a break up, broken nail, and a bad hair day.

they all get their due rewards. One beautiful popular girl that was a volleyball star has put on about thirty pounds since high school where as I am still the same. Books are written and they last. It is a way of being a tiny bit immortal. Stupid popular people haven't u ever heard beauty fades but brains stay. Books are just another example. The iliad and oddessy were written how may years ago?

well it depends on how old you are. if your over 18 I'd recommend Sherrilynn Kenyon or JR Ward. But if you are younger than that I'd recommend the Tiger's curse series by Colleen Houck, Leven Thumps by Obert Skye, or The Children of the lamp by PB Kerr. I'm reading my way through the classics at the moment

Hello it is also nice to meet you. What are some of your favorite books?

True that!!! And, all the beautiful people now in days say that they have natural beauty, but in reality they are just made of plastic. oh!!!! i guess that's why they don't have a brain.

Hey!!! that's not nice. To the dumb people of course. Putting the "popular" people with the dumb people is just making the "popular" people sound smart. They don't have dumbness in their blood. They just die by having a treaty with the zombies saying they could kill them as long as they don't mess up their hair or manicure.

pretty much. And, when they finally do get my attention. I just look at them, and they just keep waving their hand in my face thinking that i am still asleep.

hahaha. Well I was called Novelist all my schooling days because I wouldn't be caught dead without something I was reading on any given day. In retrospect, that mostly boiled down to shyness. People are scary alien creatures :)

People are just scary period. The shy thing i can understand. Like if i don't know you; i would be thinking in my head " get away from me! get away from me! who are you?! Why are you talking to me?!"

lol. that's a bit extreme don't you think? I would just be cross for momentarily bringing me back to reality
people laugh when they see my home there are book cases everywhere. I have books on cooking, flowers, animals, fiction, non-fiction, folk tales, guns and knives, art, classics, paranormal romance, sci-fiction, fantasy. lol there are just too many
i wish my parents would let me do that to my room!!!, but alas. I have to share a room with my ten year old little sister.
lol when I was in high school my books littered my room as well. That is the great thing about being an adult you can do what you want with your money.
I used to buy books, read them, then give them out. So I don't have any hoards stashed under my bed. These days, I normally have ebooks. My income doesn't reflect the speed with which I hog books.
I will never make the mistake of giving away books because I did that when I was twelve and now they no longer print them
When we were toddlers, our mom bought us a large collection of bedtime stories, volumes called Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories. She also got us Ladybird books, Most are Fairytale. We read them through the years and moving House many times, we lost a good chunk of them. It's next to impossible to get them these days for our nephew who is 2. But given a chance, I would have given them away. Books are to be shared not hoarded.
Lol I let people borrow all the time but I have to say it is impossible for me to "give" books away unless I have a double copy of it. I can't help myself, if books were heroine I'd have a serious problem.
Brittany wrote: "Lol I let people borrow all the time but I have to say it is impossible for me to "give" books away unless I have a double copy of it. I grew up with very few personal possessions that it's cumbersome to have them in adulthood.
I suppose so. I like being surrounded by my friends. My husband and Dad don't get it but my mom does. She doesn't read much but she still supports my lifestyle.
Definitely, I didn't have any friends in high school and I actually mean that. There was no one who called me or anything. I just sat in my room reading my mom used to make me go outside to "get healthy sun" but I don't know why. I burn when out for more than twenty minutes.
Awww. Well I am black so I can't say I understand. The sun doesn't affect me really, however hot it gets. I had friends, but a few. Though I will tell you this, I never felt I belonged anywhere. I went to my poetry sessions last weekend and everyone was friends with each other, and I wondered how people can be so...normal! Made me want to rush home and talk to my friends too(characters in my books)
i can tell you one thing. if you are confident in yourself. that confidence is what will make people want to be your friend.
Then you can fit into the world. You don't have a speech impediment. I teach computer but but a few months teaching, I have bitten my tongue in so many places, I wish to zip my mouth shut and never talk again, lol. Not cut out for talking to much and stuff
Frost wrote: "i can tell you one thing. if you are confident in yourself. that confidence is what will make people want to be your friend."You are so right. I tend to come off as arrogant and aloof(Just an act)and guess what, people tend to hi me and stuff
Brittany wrote: "Confidence is more than speech. I am fine doing things but I tend to be shy when one on one"Awww, how I would wish to be like you. I don't particularly lack in confidence. It's just that I used to stutter as a kid and much as I talk normally now at least to the average person, I still have that subtle difficulty in airing words. My bro says it's all in my head. It actually isn't. It comes off as lack of confidence, but it's not really.
I don't think you are arrogant just young in your thoughts, which is better than being an old lady in a 22 year old body aka me.
Brittany wrote: "I don't think you are arrogant just young in your thoughts, which is better than being an old lady in a 22 year old body aka me."Hahaha. I haven't been young in a very very long time. The arrogance part comes from my self-assuredness. I seem like nothing can faze me.(Lots of things do. Just a good actor)

Hello, my name is Sarah, but you can call me frost. I like to read anything and everything. Well, not everything, but most things. i love to read; as much as i love to breath. I will like to get along with everyone.
