Jocelyne, some people claim they can do that. It's called hyperthymesia or highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM). 60 Minutes and some other shows featured it.
Also, some memory experts use systems to store information that are similar to a computer's filing system. Former US memory champ Ron White talks about that and even wrote some helpful memory training books.

This is true. That is why I would settle for the ability just to tell if people are lying.

Thanks a lot for that. I was not aware of it and I will definitely look into it. I am fascinated with the topic since I don't have a good memory myself. I was also fascinated by people with a great sense of smell, which probably inspired me to write my book Clementine's Uncommon Scents, since I can barely smell anything.

I've heard of that. I think Mary Lou Henner has it. It's really rare.
I can't even begin to pick, are we including x men, all comic book powers, supernaturals such as deamons and vampires. the options are limitless>_<
Photographic Memory couldn't hurt.. I am something awful trying to remember dates and information for school.
I wouldn't mind being a plain spell caster. Call it a cop out but it sounds more interesting to me than just having one power.
If I had a super power it would be the power of luck! Because everyone needs a little now and then and I sure could use some!
I would love the power to heal others in every way. So many are hurting either physically, mentally, or emotionally, & it would be awesome to take all their pain away:)
I read a bit about HSAM last night and found out that indeed Mary Lou Henner had it. For the most part, it seems to be considered a disorder though, since the past keeps bursting in and the person has no control over it. I would like to be able to pick and choose where and when I want to go back. I am in the Proust group next door and I am wondering if he did not have a touch of it. How could he possibly remember all those details?

if you were going to choose to not have to eat I think I would want to be a vampire or some supernatural that comes with extra perks like super human strength and manipulation.
If I could have a magical power, it would be special eyes that wouldn't get harmed when I read in the dark (hehehe) or the power of no sleep that way i can read my books in the night.
Shape-shifting, It would be the all 'round best power because you can do almost anything, turn into a bird and fly away, turn into a fly and listen in on peoples conversations, turn into a lion and protect yourself ....all 'round best power
I think I wouldn't mind having the ability to Dream Walk & visit people in their sleep... that could be cool.or an Elemental power would be pretty cool too... I would be cool to be able to control the weather or fire.
Shape shifting or mind reading or control of the elements or telekinesis or I don't know there's so much to choose from!
so many of the same desire? I won't lie being able to read other minds would scare the bejesus out of me.
I like the ability to heal, Especially if that included mental illness. I would want the power to bring peace to the world.
I'd like to have the ability to set things on fire with just one look... I'm not a pyromaniac... I just think it would be nice to set some hairs on fire sometimes :-?
This tread bring back a radio show from "This American life"http://www.thisamericanlife.org/play_...
Act two is about "informal survey in which he asks the age-old question: Which is better: The power of flight or the power of invisibility? He finds that how you answer tells a lot about what kind of person you are. And also, no matter which power people choose, they never use it to fight crime."
Love the show. =)
A vampire so I would never have to grow old. of course i would have had to turn at about age 29 or so ;) that would make me sooooo happy. plus I'd be super strong, fast and I'd like to read minds like Edward.
I would have the power to give live to fiction caracters. Not only mine, but other people's too. Haha, I'd create a Doctor and timetravel with him
