The power to have all powers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! Well I guess that's a way to get around the "just one power" dilemma.

Malia Haberman | 40 comments Michael wrote: "I'd change the color of traffic lights at will."

Oh yeah, that would be a cool power. I hate waiting at lights. I would also love to have the ability to fold up my car and put it in my purse. Especially when I go downtown and can't find parking or have to pay to park my car. :)

message 6: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 848 comments Silence - at least the ability to silence people:) Or invisibility:)

message 7: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Pearson | 12 comments I always thought I'd like the power of insight. To know all of the nuances of every social encounter, to understand other people's viewpoints and know, accurately, what they were thinking would be pretty awesome, I think.

message 8: by Kristin (new)

Kristin Vincent (kristinkitty) I'de like the power to make unreal things real.

message 9: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) I'd like to get the power of other people - think Rogue in X-Men.

message 10: by Malia (new)

Malia Haberman | 40 comments Abigail wrote: "I'd like to get the power of other people - think Rogue in X-Men."

Oh yeah. That was also a power for one of the guys on the NBC show "Heroes" that was on a few years ago. That way you would always have a different power, but only one at a time. :)

message 11: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) Yeah - but Rogue KEEPS hers. :)

message 12: by Florence (new)

Florence Witkop | 79 comments The power to know what people are thinking. And to not know if I don't want to!

message 13: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 80 comments The power to look at a book's cover and instantly know what's written inside. Then I wouldn't have such a huge to read list and could concentrate on writing :D

And what could I do with all that knowledge

Then you need to go to the poll and click on the ability to absorb any written word in seconds. :)

message 15: by Malia (new)

Malia Haberman | 40 comments Abigail wrote: "Yeah - but Rogue KEEPS hers. :)"

So then she has her power and someone else's? Oh, I didn't know that. Then you would always have 2 powers. Nice!

message 16: by Malia (new)

Malia Haberman | 40 comments Florence wrote: "The power to know what people are thinking. And to not know if I don't want to!"

Yeah, you would definitely want the ability to turn that power off when you needed, because you might "hear" some things you never wanted to hear. :)

There are dark places you just do not really want to go

message 33: by Brandy (new)

message 36: by Dean (new)

Dean MacAllister (deanmacallister) sigh

message 37: by Grampy (new)

Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) I would want the power to travel back in time and return at will. I'd do some serious stock market investing, I can tell you that for sure!

message 40: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Holme (natashaholme) | 114 comments The fascinating thing about other people's minds is that I'm sure we have absolutely no idea how other people feel and what goes on in there. Not even a clue. We just think we do.

message 43: by T. (new)

T. Watts (twilliamwatts) | 5 comments Don't hate me, but hear me out. My special power would be everything I already have. Every day is the chance to discover hidden potential. I believe each one of us is given a taken-for-granted gift. Often I surprise myself. I’m not so great with kids, but somehow I can get my own kids to laugh at a joke or even hug me. I’m no gifted speaker, but I can lay out thousands of written words. I’ve run away from attacking dogs, but once I ran toward them to get my kids safe. I’ve seen others, younger and smaller, with still more courage than this.

In the words of the unlikely hero, “Anyone would have done what I did.” But only the right moment can bring those words to light. I think it’s better to have the great magic locked deep within us, to be discovered by the moment. Great inspiration gathers here. And so does great magic.

message 44: by Mary (new)

Mary Davie (marylouisedavie) | 15 comments I would choose the power of flight. Not wings or anything, more like Superman.

I have a sub plot in the book I am currently writing that involves technology-enabled flight, but it is showing me what the power entails from investigating to fight or flee to enjoying the view from on high. Yep. Definitely flight!

message 45: by Darlene (last edited Mar 10, 2013 02:25PM) (new)

Darlene Jones (darlene_jones) | 153 comments I gave my heroine three powers. I'd take any one of them if I could. www.emandyves.com

The power to have magic.

message 48: by Patricia (last edited Mar 10, 2013 09:42PM) (new)

Patricia Reding | 49 comments The power to "do over." Maybe. Hmmmm. Maybe not. Some of life's hardest learned but most valuable lessons would then be missed. So, maybe that just means I would be doomed to continue to repeat the same mistake over and over again because I'd never learn from it. ??? Okay, then the power to 'do over' along with the memory and understanding of what went wrong the first time." ???

Btw, this is a wonderful question!

message 49: by Pia (new)

Pia Sparks (piasparks) | 5 comments I'd want to be super smart like the guy in that movie Limitless (without the drugs) or I'd take that mind control telepathy thing that Professor X has.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)
