Who Would You Like Dani To Be With

Kerra Okay, so I'm curious about what everyone thinks. In a questionnaire the lovely KMM said that Dani will lose her virginity to a character from Iced (hopefully not in a rape scenario like Mac). In my opinion that leaves Ryodan, Christian, or Dancer (feel free to comment if you think it could be anyone else).

As much as I LOVE Ryodan (which trust me guys, is a lot) I think Dani should end up with Dancer. I think that Christian and Ryodan want to control her while Dancer lets Dani be herself. Especially after we learned about her past involving her mother it really bothered me how Ryodan and Christian still feel like they can restrain and control her; if they loved her how could they do that to her?!

Ryodan and Christian are trying to shape her into what they want her to be. Dancer loves (?) her for who she is. We don't know enough about Dancer at this point so hopefully we don't have another revelation like we did for V'Lane, but at this point I think he's right for Dani.

Let me know what you guys think!

Laurie I do not like Christian... never really have, for some reason. In the Fever series, he was too "normal" to compete with all the out-of-this-world testosterone thrown off by Barrons, V'lane, etc. Now in Iced, he's just too creepy. Also, his obsession with Dani struck me as really odd considering how into Mac he was in the first series. "Well damn, Mac is TOTALLY with Barrons now, so I guess I'll direct my attentions elsewhere." And *poof* he's infatuated with Dani. WTF? That's just weird. It's like he needs to be needed and if someone doesn't fully NEED him, he moves on.

To me, Ryodan is Barrons only more comfortable with himself. Where Barrons comes off to me as strong, subtle, and refined like James Bond (with the monster just beneath the surface, of course), Ryodan comes off as strong, in-your-face, large-and-in-charge like... I dunno, a dark Superman or someone like that. At this point, I feel like Moning is leaning toward hooking up Dani and Ryodan, and I'm okay with that. But I really dislike Ryodan's possessiveness and insistence on controlling every aspect of Dani's life. If it morphs over the next few books into more visible protectiveness rather than possessiveness (even if it's only the reader and not Dani, who notices it), that'd be great. We see hints of that here and there in Iced, so hopefully, that's a harbinger of what's to come.

And now Dancer... I really enjoyed learning more about him in Iced. I like his character. AND there's more there than meets the eye. At the moment, he's way too mortal and normal to "compete"(like Christian was in the Fever series). But toward the end of Iced, we get Kat's take on him, which is intriguing: "[he] reminds me of my Sean but harbors secrets so dark and deep that even my gifts cannot reach them..."

It just seems to be no accident that all these interesting people are in Dublin at the time of the walls falling... like there's a REASON Dancer was checking out Trinity at that moment in time, just as it seemed fated that Alina went to Dublin when she did.

Ultimately, I think I'd like to see Dani and Ryodan together. Not sure who that would leave for Dancer and Christian, if we want their storylines romantically "wrapped up" as well. Also not sure what Moning will resolve by the end of the Dani O'Malley series... at the end of Iced, it says the series is going to be a trilogy (then back to Mac for the remaining few books, I think).

I only wish Moning would write a bit faster. How much of the information listed about Burned is valid? It says the hardcover is going to be less than 300 pages, but presumably she's not even finished WRITING it yet, so how can we know the page count? Three hundred pages strikes me as too short to accomplish much in this trilogy, unless the font is very small!

Oh my god I completely agree on christian, he is so fucking creepy. His interest in Dani makes absolutely NO sense to me. It came out of nowhere and he's suddently calling Dani his angel, his goddess, his GIRL. what the feck. He came across as a psychopath in ICED, more so than Ryodan who depsite his interest in a 14 year old girl, I like better than Christian.

And as for dancer, he's adorable and I think he really would be the perfect suit for Dani, its expected. But this being a part of the fever series (well Dani series)...you know nothing you expect is going to happen. Cant wait to see how this mess turns out.

(Oh and FYI to the OP - Mac as never a virgin in the fever series)

Blair Lee I actually think we are going to find out in the next book that Ryodan is her dad. I think it is going to be Dancer.

Eli Omg Roydan as Dani's dad ahhhhh

Kimesha Ward It seems like Dani is going to end up with Ryodan.I don't like the fact that he's sleeping with Jo.as somebody said on facebook,he needs to be kicked in the balls.I don't want her with Christian.I was rooting for Dancer but I wonder about the dark secrets.

Arlen Ruiz Ryodan it is!!!!! :)

Melanie As much as I like Dancer, Dani indicated in ICED she feels like he's a brother. That leaves Ryodan and Christian. Christian got a raw deal in this series, but I'm hopeful the MacKeltar in him will overcome his current situation. After all, he did sacrifice himself for Dani in ICED but we know he will be back. That has to count for something. I think Ryodan wants her for other reasons (her extraordinary power) although there are parallel aspects between MAC and Barrons and Ryo and Dani. Whoever she ends up with is going to have to be able to handle her powers AND accept her for who she is....I'm hooked on this story!

Melissa I'm confused as to how this is even a question! I guess I respect other opinions, but it was infinitely clear to me in Iced that Dani is supposed to end up with Ryodan. I am in love with those two! I will be so frickin' disappointed if it goes any other way...

Jennifer Rinehart I think Dani will end up with Ryodan, his overbearing, rude attitude is a cover for the worry he feels for her. Christian is a tragic figure who, I feel, never got a chance to become a better man and Dancer is like a brother.

Melody Mongeon I think it is meant to be ryodan eventually, i think christian will either have to die in some great sacrifice or his transformation will need to be pushed up or altered and then there will be a need to redeem himself. but Dani is fated for ryodan as far as i can see.

Elizabeth Off topic, just curious... Who here thinks Dancer is a berserker??
Christian is way too creepy for my taste...
I'm a softy for Ryodan, though... I don't know what it is about the type A, domineering types that I find so appealing... :)

Jessica While I think she will lose her virginity to Dancer, ultimately by the end of the series I think she will be with Ryodan. While Dani is mature for her age, she is also very young too. I feel like for some reason she needs to be with someone softer than Ryodan for her first time and that is where Dancer comes in (blasphemy I know ;)). Not to mention, the longer Ryodan dates Jo, I think the harder it will be for Dani to start anything with him. She is extremely loyal to her 'sisters'. However, I do think Dani's relationship with Dancer has an expiration date and Dani's ultimate love interest will be with Ryodan. God, I really hope the author doesn't make Ryodan her dad....I can't even remember how many scenes would become horrifically awkward from the first book should that occur *shudders*.

As for Christian, I agree with the other poster who said he got a raw deal in these stories. I don't want him to be with Dani but I really want him to have a happier ending that with the Crimson Hag. Hopefully they rescue him and can somehow help his current situation.
