Plethora (bookworm_r) | 359 comments I'm not confident enough to know if this books original information was changed in error and needs undone and updated or if an alternate cover edition should be created.

book link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/94...

In looking at the change log a uses updated the pages to 1069. Which matches what I have. Someone else has updated the page count, but part of the library note references changing some stuff to match amazon description. however, looking at amazon (yes, I know-don't use) that page count doesn't match what I see listed on the current amazon page, nor does it or the amazon page match what I am looking at on my kindle.

The cover seems to have just come from "goodreads 1". my cover actually matches the one found on this edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/93...

The book is "A Signet Book" published by New American Library, a division of Penguin Group according to the inside pages of my kindle version. The amazon pages mentions Plume, which is what this GR edition now says. I'm not sure of the true copyright date, hard to tell on the kindle versions, as they don't usually appear to update them.

asin matches above record.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments Usually for ebooks, publisher page numbers rule; but, this one is newer format that does have real page numbers. So on alternate cover edition, put in what your copy says as page numbers.

Looks like the "...match amazon description..." info for title did get corrected.

(Hopefully someone pm'd that librarian that (a) amazon cannot be used as data source and (b) edition info goes in edition field, not book title. I did not want to jump in and pm if there were already pm's from other librarians ...)

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 359 comments Ok, sounds safer to add Alternate Edition, just didn't want to clutter DB if not needed. I wasn't positive how much of the changed data came from Amazon. I can add later today when at computer.
