I started last night, but it just isn't grabbing me. I don't think Holt is going to be one of my favorite authors. :(

Sorry to hear it isn't grabbing you Jeannette."
Thanks, Lynn. I might give it another shot, but Holt's writing style just doesn't click for me.

I can certainly see where you are coming from. It is slow moving. I don't know if this is spoilerish, so to be safe (view spoiler) .

Nice to know you have some comforting company! Get better soon!

Awww, Starla's so sweet!
Sorry you're feeling poorly, Misfit. Hope you feel better soon.

But that aside, I always enjoy her style of writing, and even characters that looks suspicious, like Zillah Grey, are interesting to read.

Misfit, I hope you are feeling better now specially since our buddy read may count on Starla now.
Davina's naiveté is quite excessive in my opinion. And the "not proven" verdict must change her life in some way. Lets see what happens next.

Glad you're able to join in.

Davina's nai..."
Yes, Davina is so very naive. I had to chalk it up to her young age and sheltered upbringing or it would have driven me batty.

Yeah, I just wanted to strangle her at times.
