Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Hello and how nice to find a place where people appreciate a good, clean story. I have Aslaug Gorbitz to thank for making me aware of this group as she belongs too.

I hope you will find my book, Hide in Time, acceptable for this group.

I shall be interested to look through other titles here. I am not a fast reader. I have a busy life, but then that is all grist to the mill, as they say. It does, however, prevent me from reading quietly in a corner, so do please forgive me if I don't read your book. Roll on the holidays.

Hi Anna! Welcome to the group!

Sophie | 209 comments Welcome! What romance genres do you like?

message 4: by Anna (new) - added it

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Thank you for your welcome, Soph.

Historical romance is my favourite. I like the classics, Jane Austen, of course, and the Bronte sisters. I've also enjoyed C.J. Sansom's novels set in the 1500s but they are quite gruesome in places and they're more crime mysteries than romances. That's what it was like back then.

Lots of others too, but I don't get as much reading time as I'd like.

Recently, I have been reading contemporary romance/thriller novels and, as the author is good, I enjoyed those too.

I like the Regency era best, I think. My own novel is a Regency/Contemporary Time Travel novel, and I enjoyed writing the Regency parts better than the contemporary.

I shall think of lots of others the moment I sign off, but it's late here, getting on towards midnight, so I hope you will forgive me.

Sophie | 209 comments Regency romances!! My FAVOURITE!! Love that era and they are the books I read - my book shelf (on Goodreads and at home!) is full of them!
Jane Austen is my favourite I think :) I write a blog about her so she must be ;)
Historical romances are the best IMO :) I will have to check your book out :)
Welcome again :)

Sophie | 209 comments I see you are also from the UK! I don't bump into many on here actually! What part (if you don't mind me asking?) I'm from Tilehurst, which is basically Reading (hour from London) :)

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Soph, I'm the other side of London!

www.annafaversham.com will spill the beans.

If you do get to read HiT then you will find it littered with fictional place names which are pretty easy to unscramble. Torwell Bridge for instance is Tunbridge Wells.

I'd love to see your blog. Do you receive the Jane Austen newsletter?

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Marisa, thanks so much. I'm really surprised and pleased to be sent all these welcome messages.

I'm only just getting to know goodreads despite joining a couple of years ago (I think!) and I'm taking a very slow plod around the site. I feel I want to apologize before I even get to know everyone that I'll never find the time to read as much as you all do.

Not that far then :)

Which newsletter? From the Jane Austen centre?

my blog :) hope you like it :)

How did you overcome your fear of spiders!?
Nice website :) i went to South Africa 4 years ago for a holiday - it was lovely! :D

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Yes, the newsletter from the Jane Austen centre, it's always interesting.

Some inoffensive spiders insisted on living in the house. Watching generation after generation appear and then grow and then get eaten or disappear some other way, or even have a hundred or so mini-spiders themselves, allowed me to respect and grow fond of them - no kidding.

I'm off to look at your blog.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Gosh, Soph, that is some blog! It should win an award. I'll have to set aside an hour to look at it!

Sophie | 209 comments That's amazing. I don't like spiders!!

Thanks about my blog! I hope you enjoy looking at it :) I enjoy writing it :)

Aslaug Gørbitz | 8 comments Hi all,

I thought I would pop into the conversation, since I'm mentioned and all, haha.

I have joined a few groups here on goodreads, but I don't get the time to have as many conversations and get to know people as I'd like.

Just finished Anna's book HiT, last night; will write a review soon. Loved it.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Thanks to everyone for a warm welcome and to Aslaug for taking the time to not only read Hide in Time but also to give it a review.

As a thank you, I've reduced the price for the next week - 77p in England and $1.16 in the US. I've only told this group and one other.

www.annafaversham.com - there are direct links to Amazon from there.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 275 comments Apparently, Amazon are showing Hide in Time as being $1.50 and not the $1.16 that it was showing as earlier in the day. I tried to set the UK price as 50p at first but it disallowed that. I think the rules are changing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
