Alisa smiled at him and nodded eagerly," Hell yes he can! Just like boys are always annoying". Alisa laughed and said," No but he's a good boy".
Alisa put the kettle on and then made some green tea. Once she had done that she looked at Raven slightly and said," Has he told you about why he moved here? And what I really am to him?".
Alisa breathed out one of those sympathetic smiled and said softly," His father used to beat him, sometimes just with his bare hands and sometimes with other things. His father also used to lock him in rooms and starve him for days, he couldn't attend school and he would sometimes go to hospital because he had tried to kill himself a couple times". Then Alisa looked at Raven softly and said," The thing is, I wasn't there while all this was happening. Because he's only my half brother, same mother, different father".
Alisa looked at Raven sadly," I used to live with my father, I moved out a couple years ago and got this place. As soon as I heard what was happening to Dante I knew I had to get him to come here". Alisa's face grew angry and her tone of voice grew harsher," My father was more of a father to Dante than that bastard could ever be".
Alisa nodded," It was". She went to sit on the chairs near the table and placed her green tea on it. She looked at Raven and said softly,"What's your story? I can see in your eyes that something is wrong with you". "I can't find the laptop!", Dante shouted from upstairs.
Still looking at Raven Alisa shouted back," It's in the attic somewhere!".
Alisa looked at her softly for while, she felt for her and she was sure that if everyone heard that story everyone would feel pity. But she could tell that this girl didnt want sympathy. "You don't have to take his crap you know", Alisa said," It's your decision to leave and get out of there".
Alisa sighed heavily and then said," Look, if its any help you are very welcome to stay here whenever you need to, okay?". Alisa didnt know what it was like to be abused, but she never wanted it to happen to anyone.
"I found it!!", Dante shouted from above.Alisa laughed slightly and face palmed herself," About time! I thought you'd be up there for a few more hours!", she replied sarcastically.
"Ha ha ha", Dante shouted dryly.
Then Alisa looked at Raven and said," Any time,sweety. By the way, don't tell Dante I told you this stuff".
Then Dantes food steps were pounding down the stairs with a slight smile on his face, the laptop and charger with him.
Alisa looked at Raven with a gentle smile one last time before she sipped her tea comfortably. Dante shrugged with a smile and said," Nah dont worry about it". Then Dante placed the laptop on the table , pushing the junk food behind the laptop.
Dante opened a chips packet and nodded," Yes, lets do it". Then he opened the laptop while his sister got up with her tea in her hand. Alisa looked at them and said," You kids have fun".
Dante waved at his sister with a smile and she stuck out her tongue before she left. Then he turned back to Raven and laughed. He continued the dramatic, theatrical voice and said," Yes, we shall".
Dante looked at her and wiggled his eyebrows," We shall be rebels and use wikipedia because we are bad asses". Dante shrugged nonchalantly and tried to act cool, but failed and chuckled.
Dante laughed while he she laughed. Then he smiled and looked down. "You know, you're even more pretty when you smile", Dante stated confidently, looking at her with a smile on his face.
Dante looked at the clock and said," Sorry, we didnt really get to do anything today", he laughed slightly and then continued," With meeting my sister and me taking my time finding the laptop". He smiled at her apologetically. "I'll drive you home", Dante said, he got up.
Dante looked at her softly, sort of observing her to see if she really was telling the truth."Are you sure? Because I honestly dont mind taking you at all, besides its quicker and warmer", Dante replied with a smile.
Dante smiled at her and nodded in agreement. "Is that a yes then?", he asked with a soft grin.
Dante got his keys and flashed her a cheeky smile," Good, lets go". Then he looked up the stairs and shouted," Im dropping Raven off!". Then suddenly he heard fast foot steps and heard his sister yell," Wait!".
Alisa ran down the stairs and then embraced Raven in a hug," You come back any time", she said softly. Dante smiled slightly and looked down, he liked that Raven and Alisa liked each other.
Alisa smiled and nodded. Dante then looked at Raven and said," Lets go then, shall we?". Dante fumbled with the keys in his hands and then opened the door for Raven.
Once Dante had shut his front door he sprinted slightly to his car and Raven.He nodded and smiled," Yeah, that would be good". He was reacting like it was a date or something. He laughed slightly at his own thoughts in his head. He then opened the door for Raven.
Dante got in the car after Raven had. He turned the engine on and the radio too. He drove out of the side of the street and started driving to the main area." You're gonna have to direct me on where to go, you know?", he grinned at her slightly as he took a quick glance at her.
Dante followed her directions and then asked," You have two chimneys?". He'd never seen a house like that, sure he'd seen a house with one but not two.
Dante looked over at her for a second and smiled genuinely," No", he said softly," Thats not weird. Its pretty cool". It was different, and it was special.
Dante smiled and asked," What was your mom like?". He didnt know if he should have asked that question or not, but it was too late to take it back now.
Dante smiled but then stopped at he heard that he missed her and as soon as he saw the house. He knew that trouble was going to happen, and he didnt want Raven to go in there. He looked aside to her and grabbed her hand, he squeezed it gently and said," I know you do, I know it must be hard".
Dante felt uneasy after she left. But he blushed as he placed his hand on his cheek, she had kissed him. Then he watched her go up to her house to ensure she was safe. He didnt want to leave her unattended. ((Got to go))
Dante watched her go in hesitantly and sneakily. He felt uneasy about this, he knew what would happen and he didnt like one bit of it. He looked at her house and then looked back at the steering wheel, he didnt know what to do. Suddenly he just got out of his car and went to the door. He knocked on it? Quickly and loud so that he could hear.
Dante stood there strong and tall, he glared at Ravens father and said demandingly," I want to see Raven, right now". He wouldn't leave unless he saw that she was okay. God, he smelt like alcohol.
Dante sighed and just looked at Ravens dad," No, I need to see her now. She borrowed something really important from me". That was a lie. But it didnt matter. He just needed to see that Raven was okay.
Dante didnt waste any time, he sprinted up the stairs as quick as he could and knocked on Ravens door demandingly "Raven!", he said," Open your door".
Dante without hesitation dived into her room and closed the door. "I had to see you were okay! After you told me what he does to you, I couldn't leave without knowing you were okay". He looked at her and realised something. She had a hoodie on that was covering some of her face. "What are you hiding, Raven?", he asked.
Dante stood still," I'm not going anywhere". Then he moved closer to stand right in front of her. He looked at her with a soft look and said," I know my sister offered you to stay at out house any time. You can".
Dante groaned slightly, he grabbed her forearms and said," You can! You have a choice ,Raven". Then without hesitation he pulled her hoodie off and looked at her face. Already a bruise. "You don't need to put up with this".
Dante stepped away from her and sighed, he couldn't compete with family. Even if her father abused her. He looked away and said," Look, you want to talk to someone, anytime, I'm here. If its early in the morning or late at night. Okay?". He got some paper from somewhere and a pen from his pocket, he wrote down his number.
Dante nodded slowly and gave a sympathetic smile. He stepped forward and hugged her softly," Goodbye Raven". Then he walked to the door,his hand on the handle and stopped at her door. He smiled and looked back," See you tomorrow". Then he left slowly and closed the door behind him.
Dante walked down to his car and looked behind him once more before he actually got in. He smiled slightly and then got into his care, driving home(( sure. Btw got to go))
"Yes", Dante moaned. His sister was going all rampage again, acting like his mother. Asking him if he had all the equipment he needs. Alisa was rushing around and then quickly gave Dante a kiss on the cheek," Bye, I'll see you later". Then she dashed off and out the door. Dante got up off the chair and went to get ready. Once he was done, he got his keys and existed his house.
Once Dante had driven to school, he was greeted by Vee standing quietly with his hands in his pockets and an expressionless face. Always expressionless.Dante walked into school with Vee, chit chatting away about whatever.
Dante walked to his locker and Vee went to class. "Hey, Dante. Long time no see".
Dante turned around to see Mike, mike and him had been pretty close in middle school. Not so much anymore. Dante smiled and said," Hey". Mike sneaked a peak to every corner and asked," I want to give you something". Then he took out some pills and marajuna.
Dante looked at the weed in the plastic bag, did he just actually take it? Did he honestly take it without hesitation? Dante felt someone behind him and immediately put it in his pocket. He even took the pills! He put it in his pocket too. Then he went to his next class; English.
Dante walked into English class, his nerves and patients going up and down. He was in the edge. Then he saw Raven. He smiled to himself and sat across from her, placing his books and pen down and then looking at her with a soft smile.
"Hi ", Dante replied with a smile. Then he looked down at his book and let out a sigh of a laugh. Then suddenly the teacher came in and had started the lesson. He took one more glance at Raven to see if she was okay and then looked back.
Dante packed his books away with a sigh of relief, but what he didnt realise was that the pills that he had put in his bag before he went to class had dropped on the floor. He looked to see what his next class was: Science.
Dante looked over and at what was in Ravens hands. He quickly grabbed them and stuffed them in his bag," Where did you get those, Raven?". They were supposed to be in his bag!"Shit", he muttered," They must have fallen out". Then he looked at her with wife eyes," No!", he said nervously," You've got the wrong impression".
Dante just sighed and let out a frustrated mumble," Shit". He packed his bags and looked down at the drugs. He couldn't believe he had allowed Mike to stuff them in his hands. He ran out of class as soon as he could and saw Raven wondering the halls. He ran to her, dodging people in the busy halls and then caught her by her wrist, out of breathe.
"They aren't mine", Dante said, exasperated. He looked at her with a pleading gleam in his eye, because he wanted her to know he wasn't like that. He used to take drugs, not anymore. "They belong to a friend of mine, well, not really a friend. More of an acquaintance".
Dante shook his head quickly," I don't even know myself. Mike just stuffed them into my hands because he thought I needed to 'loosen up' ". Then Dante looked away with a certain look on his face, he looked back at Raven and said," Okay, so maybe I was thinking about using some. But I wasn't going to actually do it".
Dante shrugged and said calmly," I used to use drugs, when I was in a bad situation. It was hard getting rid of them when I was done with all the abuse. But now; sometimes I just want it. The pills, the weed, the ecstasy". Dante looked away, embarrassed and ashamed at himself.
Dante laughed and said," I guess I love her back". Then he looked at Raven and said," I'll go get the laptop". He disappeared.
