So i stopped at chapter ten last night~ I didn't read that chapter.

I think its ok so far. I'm embarrassed to say I hardly remember anything about the first book. All I really know is that I loved it and its one of my favorites. lol weird right?

Any whoo...(view spoiler)[ I can't believe her sister would get involved with something like Aralt again. I mean come on is she that dumb? She just got out of a MENTAL INSTITUTION because of her involvement with a GHOST and the SUPERNATURAL and as soon as shes out she's gonna get involved with it again? Its like she wants to go back to the institution. I dunno. And I don't really like how Alexis is being with her sister. She's become very mean towards her...I guess not all families are like that but I grew up in a family where you support and protect your family..... whatever ;D (hide spoiler)]

Im gonna go continue the book now to see what happens. I'll check in later :D

lol! No, I totally understand. it took me a moment to remember the 1st book to so I went to my old review and old synopsis just to try to remember. but i did like that the book did drop quite a few reminders about some things.

just read up to, not including chapter 20. Man this book is f-ed up.

(view spoiler)[ I Though I could count on Alexis not falling for anything supernatural or anything to do with ghosts. She failed me miserably. I loved her pink hair and her punked clothes but trades it all in for a prep look- ugh.

And bout her picture contest. You know she's gonna win because of the head judge is an Aralt girl too and that's why she'll pick Alexis. Its sad too because Alexis is really a good photographer and is very talented. But now she's just content to skate through life because of Aralt. Thats one thing that really pisses me off. Alexis used to be passionate about photography and used to work hard for the things she wanted but now all she wants are freebies.

Oh and who decides to take an oath in another language. Please, I'd be like "see ya!" I mean I love my sister and brother but i'm not selling my soul for anyone.

I'm also really angry about what Alexis did to Carter. You know she's in deep now if she has to resort to messing with his mind which is totally F-ed up!. Now he's just a shell of himself and by chapter 18 she's just realizing that. His smile, his eyes are vacant. I shocked dumb when he went to make his speech at the game WITH HIS SLEEVES ROLLED UP. If he remembers that when he gets "himself" back, he'll be horrified. Then Alexis gets all upset when he says I love you to her in front of everyone and she has the audacity to run away. It was her f-ing fault he's like a clone of himself and she basically told him to say it and now she's all like "oh no. Now's not the time. blah blah blah. Gimme a break.

And how creepy was it to have Aralt's voice in her head. He's like a creppy pedophile that's inside all these young girls. ewww. It was interesting to see that when she didn't say what he told her too, he caused her pain. I wonder how far he'll take that. On and I'm really interested about Tashi now that Alexis saw her in a 60's photo at Farrin's office. (hide spoiler)]

Sorry for all the f-bombs and ranting, but sometimes I get passionate and carried away. Thanks for read it too. I'm gonna continue the book and see how far I get tonight.

I think we had the same opinions about everything.

The stuff with Kasey was just unrealistic. That she'd get out of a mental ward and go right back to ghosts.

and for Alexis to lose herself in all of it too!

It was good to see Kasey helping Alexis this time - to stop her from..ya know, killing the whole family....but other than that, they weren't the best siblings to each other.

it was pretty painful to read how awful Alexis was in this book. it sucks we had to lose her for most of the book. The whole middle part was just hard to read - when she was all "oh I'm so ugly" blah blah. it just seemed to go on forever! LOL

But it was a twisted book with a crazy story so it had that going for it and made me keep reading.

oh and Carter. Yeah, the manipulation was just twisted. I hated when he was all puppy dog eyes and all "whatever you want" ...I liked him when he had more spunk. I'm glad Alexis agreed too

Aralt was just creepy with all his lusty self. :(

i did like the book but not as much as I thought I would.
I liked all the other stuff that happened tho. the murder, the death, the spells. it was cool.

the end was pretty crazy too!
The idea that someone had to either be forced (or could sacrifice themselves) to let the other girls graduate

but wow, when she almost killed her family
and Megan (wasn't it megan?) who almost set her on fire.

those were some intense moments!

oh Yeh Megan was completely off her rocker especially when she tried go stab both Alexis and kasey. I was happy when Alexis shattered her knee.

I wonder if anything is gonna happen to Alexis bc technically she's still sworn to aralt.

and that was freaky when she tried to kill her parents and her sister. her thoughts were so creepy, like she was deciding to make a sandwich instead of planning mass murder.

the black goo stuff was aralt I think. I'm not sure if burning the book would work bc its just the spells that are lost now. remember when Alexis said that the book wasn't the dwelling, that the girls were. that's y they didn't burn the book bc burning it wouldn't do anything. plus Lydia released him already.

I was thinking like maybe April 15 or 16 for the buddy read. and yeah the 3rd book is the last one :)
