That's good. Because I need to finish the one I'm reading on the kindle at the moment, which should be tonight, and then I'll crack that one open really fast.
I hope you feel better. I think there's something going around. I called into work sick on Friday and spent the weekend recovering. Did finish a couple of books though.
I'm ready to talk now.I like Cullen. I think that he's going to figure out a way to demonstrate his sprinkler. Especially in light of the fire.
I like Cullen too. I also think he's going to figure out a way to do that.
I feel so bad for John and all the fireman that died from that fire. John seemed like such a great guy, too. It's just really sad...
From the little we've seen of Wanda, I really don't like her. I didn't like the way she acted with Cullen or the way she pressured him to pick a wedding date before he left. And by the sound of it, I almost think something is going to happened between Hodge and Wanda while Cullen is away.
I like that Della is teaching Cullen to read lips and also sign language.
I loved how Cullen's father schemed to get Cullen to go to the Chicago World's Fair.

I also don't like Wanda. I didn't like the way that she not only pressured him into setting a date but that she also tried to get him to sleep with her before he left. I think he's going to realize that he doesn't love Wanda the way that a husband should.I also think it's pretty awesome that Della is teaching him to read lips and sign.
By the way, I finished the book really early this morning...
Okay... I guess I'll read the next half then. :)
I liked the scene near the beginning when Cullen and Della first meet and he helps her escape the crowd. It was funny (and kinda mean) how Della sent him in the wrong direction.

But I understand why she did. She's a beautiful young woman. He's a man she doesn't know. So she has no idea if he's trustworthy or not. I know the time was different than now and that men actually treated women like ladies and were gentlemen and all, but I'd probably thank him, and try not to give him any additional information either. The rest of the book moves really fast. So take your time. No rush. You've been very patient with me and my crazy reading schedule.
I agree. I understand why she did it. I loved how protective/caring Cullen was. So far, he seems like a great guy. :)
No problem. :) I completely understand about having a crazy reading schedule.
