First Chapter?

I just finished reading the first chapter in Clockwork Princess and I only have one word to describe it: wow. I want to know what you guys thought of it and what you're expecting from the book based on your knowledge of the series and the first chapter of this new upcoming book.

And about the first chapter, well this is my reaction

E.M. I like the use of that song and totally agree with that picture. I'm just guessing here but are you team Will?

I hate that I can't predict if Will and Tessa will end up together or Jem and Tessa. It's driving me insane!

As S&M I am I can't bear the pain that this book inflicts in me. It's soooo damn hard.

I mean... damn I read very interesting and disturbing BDSM books with absolutely that might inflict pain in some people and I mean heavy things, but damn. This books is sooo painful

Seriously. I just want to Will and Tessa to end up together and if they don't I will be so disappointed in CC and ill probably still see the movie when it comes out in like 2 years but I will be so upset knowing what's coming

I think it will be kind of cool is Gabriel and Cecily get together, but it seems as if Cecily has mixed feelings towards Jem... Also, I don't think Will would allow Gabriel to get close to Cecily, but she seems like a rebel, so I don't think that would stop her... I want Will to end up with Tessa more than ever, but am wondering how its possible... If Tessa does marry Will, how did they have kids to end up with Stephen and Jace Herondale? Unless the adopted someone which seems kind of unlikely... Also, maybe Tessa USB a warlock, but something else. But, she does seen immortal because she appears at the end if City of Glass I think...

I was wondering about that too but then I thought what about Jem? In the Dark Artifices its Jem's descendant so how did that happen if he married Tessa? What's bugging me about this book is I have no idea how it will end. You know some books you can tell who the girl will end up with from the start and sure you still root for whoever you like more but you still know who the author will pick. Not this time though. I don't know how CC will get Tessa out of the marriage and get her with Will. It's just so frustrating!

I just want to get the book in my hand and start flipping the pages. I'm tempted to just flip to the back and see if Will and Tessa end up together but I won't. I'll just suffer through it. And I'm gonna be just as mad at CC if she makes Will and Tessa end up together at the end of the book. If it feels rushed to me, I'm gonna hate it. I hope there will be a lot of kisses between Tessa and Will even though Tessa's engaged. There probably won't be though since Tessa wants to remain "faithful" **barf**

agreed! I'm more of a Tessa and Will person...it's not that I dislike Jem, I'm just saying that Tessa seems to want to stay with Will more, and she is only marrying Jem because he is about to die, she feels that he needs another happy memory before he is gone, and Will doesn't want anything to do with her (until he comes up after the marriage proposal and asks to go out with her)...

Exactly. Not once does she tell Jem that she loves him. She just agrees to make him happy as he's dying. I don't hate Jem but how can he be so blind? He knows Will better than anyone but he's oblivious to Will's feelings towards when everyone can see it.
Did anyone notice how everyone in the institute is aware of Will's 'curse'?

Jem already knew about Will's feelings (from Clockwork Prince, after that invasion of the vampire's lair)!! (sorry, it's been a while since I read it...) I'm pretty sure that Jem didn't see Tessa's feelings for Will, or that he had asked Will if he could ask Tessa??

And in one of the snippets Woolsey realized they loved each in like two seconds! And yet Jem has known Will since he was what twelve and he can't see it. He's not a good friend if you ask me

Exactly my point! :) Jem isn't aware of Will's feelings.
10 more days.....I'm excited as well as terrified. Will deserves to be happy.

He really does! He's had to live with this fake curse for most of his life and then the person he finally falls in love with cant be with him....I just can't take it!
