What's for Supper?
I'm making one of my favorite vegan dishes. I start store-bought, but add to it.
I sauté an onion and some red bell pepper, with minced garlic thrown in at the end (so as not to burn). Then I use a package of the above, brown, and add some garbanzo beans to heat through. Voilà! Done.

I LOVE chicken fajitas. I used to always order that when I went to Chili's. I always swore I was going to try something new...but hardly ever did.
We got guacamole to go with it, as well as some of that yummy white cheese dip that is served at Mexican restaurants.
We had a tree in our backyard when I was growing up. My mother - who had ten green thumbs - grew it from a seed.

Ughh I hate to think what to cook for dinner ,last night I just made an easy peasy chicken stew with rice. That's my "I don't know what to cook" dish!!!
Every time I hear the word "guacamole" I bust out laughing because back a few years ago my mom, sis, and I put together a little Halloween dinner for the kids with all kinds of "creepy" foods and well I had made this taco casserole for us bigger folks but we still wanted to join in on the creepy side so I mixed some green food coloring in the sour cream topping for the casserole and my sister who had only heard of guacamole but never tasted it thought that was what it was because of the color and exclaimed how much she LOVED the guacamole topping. My mom and I grinned and to this day I don't think we have ever told her any different. We are so bad! muhahahahaha

Hubs is home and he took me out last night. We ate at Longhorn Steak House. I had a bacon wrapped filet Mignon with grilled asparagus :)
Tonight we're having chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed greens.
I pulled out some black bean soup from the freezer that I made a while back. Tonight I'll make a salad and put some pumpernickel croutons - I also made - on top.
We're having sauteed lemon garlic chicken breasts with brown rice and green beans and a salad. I think I'm making a LF coconut cake, too.

It sounds so familiar I'm sure we have something like that but my brain isn't helping me right now, I have to ask my mom.But there is another food that I can remember close to this, we put exactly that mixture plus some herbs in grape leaves and cook it with mint and lemon juice. It's like the Greek dolma but with more stuff in it and tastier.

You guys are super cooks !Seriously you are cooking a complete meal every night. I do cook every night but not this complicated !
We had Roast Chicken from grocery store; peas and rollsLast night I made a mexican casserole and served it with Chiabatta rolls. That was yummy! All the veges are already in it!
I love getting the chickens from the grocery store. I do so many things with them. And it's easy.
Leslie, so do I. And honestly, they're not that much more than buying the chicken raw. It saves most of the work :)
This was the first week in awhile that I actually planned all my meals out ! LOL. Tonight is easy, pizza haha..
Susan (susayq) wrote: "Leslie, so do I. And honestly, they're not that much more than buying the chicken raw. It saves most of the work :)"Completely agree, Susan! I make the best jambalaya using the meat from the chicken. It makes it so easy.
Thinking about having Sloppy Joes with cole Slaw. Haven't quite decided yet!
Leftovers for me since hubby wont be home until late.I also buy the cooked chickens to use in meals. Shucks it's quicker!
