Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I'm making one of my favorite vegan dishes. I start store-bought, but add to it.

I sauté an onion and some red bell pepper, with minced garlic thrown in at the end (so as not to burn). Then I use a package of the above, brown, and add some garbanzo beans to heat through. Voilà! Done.

message 17: by JenniferJ (new)

JenniferJ Every time I hear the word "guacamole" I bust out laughing because back a few years ago my mom, sis, and I put together a little Halloween dinner for the kids with all kinds of "creepy" foods and well I had made this taco casserole for us bigger folks but we still wanted to join in on the creepy side so I mixed some green food coloring in the sour cream topping for the casserole and my sister who had only heard of guacamole but never tasted it thought that was what it was because of the color and exclaimed how much she LOVED the guacamole topping. My mom and I grinned and to this day I don't think we have ever told her any different. We are so bad! muhahahahaha

Homemade bacon/cheeseburgers
Sweet Tater Fries

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments It sounds so familiar I'm sure we have something like that but my brain isn't helping me right now, I have to ask my mom.
But there is another food that I can remember close to this, we put exactly that mixture plus some herbs in grape leaves and cook it with mint and lemon juice. It's like the Greek dolma but with more stuff in it and tastier.
