Jason | 3 comments ok so here goes my first real post on the site and I am going to pick Simon Kernick.
A British crime writer who says his books in London. I work in London and often around the areas Kernick writes about so I'm able to get really engrossed in the story.
They are fairly quick and easy to read and the plots are not too complex but there are some interesting characters throughout the series although each can be read as a stand alone.
If you want to try a bit of gritty London life give these books a try.

M.A. Tierney (matierney) | 9 comments I have read 'The last ten seconds' and the pace was incredible. So fast. Everything is full throttle. Only took me a day or two to read the whole thing. Highly recommend.

Jason | 3 comments Glad you enjoyed the book Mark. This is exactly how I read his books. Can't put them down and I really have to try had not to keep reading ahead.

Just got his latest one to read now and I'll be up to date.

Adam Moss | 20 comments I love Simon Kernick. He's got the race-against-time thriller absolutely nailed.

'Siege' is a great starting point for anyone considering dipping a toe in Kernick's pond, if you'll pardon the expression.

'Siege' also features 'Scope' - one of the coolest 'baddies' ever, by any measure. Reason alone to give the book a whirl.

Sean Peters | 155 comments Hi

Great a author I have tried to go around and tell everyone about !

Found this author last year and now have the whole collection.

In many of his books he has brought in them the same characters, and you get to know them through the different books.

The book that brought him instant fame was Relentless, but highly recommended The Siege, Target and Payback.

Although I guess ideally best read in order, so you follow the characters through the books.

As mentioned scope is a great character in Seige, other of course mentioned Tina Boyd and Dennis Milne.

Enjoy

regards

Sean
