What should the Urban Fantasy group read in March?

Please suggest only one book. Authors, do not suggest your own books or have your friends suggest your books. Please pick books that have not been books of the month for the past year.

After the very gritty, yet wonderful, Blackbirds in February, I'd enjoy something a little more lighthearted. I'm reading Demon Hunter and Baby by Anna Elliott and so far am enjoying it quite a bit.

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) | 299 comments Frank Tuttle's first in the Markhat series is free, I think through Friday? --The Mister Trophy so I vote for it! His latest Markhat is due out in March! but not til the end so can you guess what I'm going to suggest for the April read??? Brown River Queen...

Can't wait!

I grabbed Mister Trophy. I second that one. :)

Michael Underwood | 9 comments I'd suggest Chris F. Holm's Dead Harvest - it was longlisted for the Best First Novel Stoker Award. It brings a cool noir flavor and feels quite different than a lot of urban fantasy.

The Mister Trophy (Markhat, #1) by Frank Tuttle

Sounds good to me. And gives it is free right now, everyone can afford to get and read it.

I've read both Nightlife and God Save the Queen myself and I thought they were both quite good. I marginally preferred God Save the Queen out of the two.

TheThirdLie I'm gonna recommend this one, I just read it and thought it was awesome. I'd like to see what more people think of it:

Dead Harvest (The Collector, #1) by Chris F. Holm

The story isn't incredibly strong in this first installment, but the main character is wonderful and he's super unique amongst the rest of the protags in urban fantasy.

This is a most awesome book. Probably better than the preceding fever series.

Is there a giant cliffhanger in Iced? Since KMM is known for that, I've been waiting to read it until at least book 2 is out.

message 22: by Marianne (last edited Feb 27, 2013 02:57PM) (new)

Marianne I like the idea of the one that's free right now. I just got a new reader. :-)

I can't think of one that I haven't read already, so I'll nominate one that is on my favorites list. Sorry if it has already been read. I'm new to this forum.

This is the beginning of a truly awesome, well-written series. Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow.

Night Shift

It is enjoyable without feeling like the wait for book 2 is too difficult. I am looking forward to number 2 but I am glad I went ahead and read this one. I am terrible to wait until there is a whole series and sit and read them all at once but I think I am going to enjoy the anticipation on this one.

I've been looking at this series for a while. I think I'm going to have a lot of good books to choose from this month!
